I just found a jet and blew things up. Helicopters are better for hovvering and blowing things up, but just use a jet (helicopters will be less likely to hit you) then keep going over the place you want to take down and shooting missiles at it.
Other than that and hijacking helicopters. I found it kinda boring.

You'll see some structures every once in a while that resemble a storage tank sitting atop a pit. I think they're fuel storage units or something. The fun thing with them is that you have to descend into the pit to activate a self-destruct sequence, then get back out before the whole thing explodes.

I was so excited for that game. The tutorial where you go in made it so much fun. But to me, the game lost it's luster after a few hours. ):

When I realized whenever I went ANYWHERE people shot stuff at me, I just got meh. When I played, I liked doing the missions to blow stuff up. Outside of those, it didn't seem worth it.

IT would have been better if there was a Mercenaries 2 level of destructability. It also would have been better if a character didn't say "THA REAP-UHS!" with a straight face.

You offend me, CAHM-RAID. TUHGETHUH WE WILL CRUSH DUH UHPRESHUN OF PAHNAHW

Normally I like to just drive around and run over people on mopeds. Driving a car off a mountain and seeing how fast you can get it to flip around until it explodes is pretty fun as well.

OP, why are they shootIng at you? Normally they don't give a [censored] as long as you don't do it to them.

The first car you can buy? Upgrade it fully, and then drag race down mountains.
Jetboats are fun to play with, you can turn it into a submarine or plane by hitting the fishing boats from the side.
Fasten heavy objects (such as cars) to the passenger planes that take off from that big airport, and swing them into unsuspecting civilians.
Car chases are also great in Just Cause 2; buy an uzi, shoot the first 10 people you see, steal a motorbike and try to avoid becoming tomato soup.

Also, the game is worth it just to listen to Bolo's amazing voice acting.

I enjoy getting on top of some poor bastard's car and starting a car chase by shooting at the Panau authorities.

I recall there being a large section of desert filled with stunt ramps. Finding a decent car and jumping around is pretty fun.

In the demo I'd attach explosive barrels to the backs of little planes and see how long I could fly. That was fun.

Ya, that game was awesome fun. I wouldn't need that level. But what killed it for me, was anywhere you went, people came at you forever. Non-stop.

Play a few story missions, and get the helicopter that transport you where ever you please. THEN , have fun. Traveling around is difficult until you get that.
Awesome game though, go Easter egg hunting, they have a lot in that game.

Edit:

Grapple a moped to a wind turbine
Sneak into a enemy airfield ( small one ) , and steal a landing plane.
Car surf
Car surf, and attach a motorcycle to the car you're on.
Grapple people to your car/car you're surfing, watch them tumble.
Grapple a red and white canister ( Don't know the name ) shoot it, and FLY.
Grapple a enemy/person to a canister, watch them FLY.
Grapple a enemy/person to a plane -> take off -> watch them FLY.
Ride a airplane.
Ride a airplane, and grapple over to other airborne planes.
Ride a airplane, and grapple a flying vehicle to it.
Ride a airplane , and grapple a land vehicle to it

... You get it. :celebration:

It's usually based on certain areas you shouldn't be in, or you're doing SOMETHING suspicious, I know what you mean though. When I played it some "normal" places I'd get the military after me for walking around, and then in some other cities I could walk right by a group of them, or even a road checkpoint.

This is why I hate the game... You end up being shot at the military every time you wanna go somewhere to blow stuff up... and those are only in areas where... ta-da, the military don't want you.
I'd prefer play Mercenaries 2 for my mayhem.

I enjoy using the grappling hook to swiftly cross short distances, base jumping, and taking over cool looking locations. Once you complete a place with a 100% mark, I've noticed that it becomes less saturated with enemies. I now own two large military bases, on their own islands, which are stuffed with respawning weaponry and cool vehicles. I also have a little island village in the southern part of the map. :D

What, complete places? You need to destroy everything that is destroyable there and find every item there. Although, if the place isn't isolated, you can still easily get shot at by messing around, but military bases become significantly more peaceful once you clear them. I can run around my airbase and take my helicopter or my two fighter jets for a spin and nobody is around to stop me, shoot me, or yell at me for being there. :D

I like to stand on the roof of a civilian car and let them drive me around while I blow up every other vehicle that passes me, and then use the tether in creative ways to stop the military chasing me.

When I am not grappling sports cars to the big jet liners at the International Airport, I'm usually just screwing around with the Grappling hook.
And of course... Car surfing. Theres a Ski Resort(I dont have the Coordinates ATM, Ill ge tthem next time I play) And I just go Snowboarding with a car. Great fun. Don't know if you knew this or not, but if you car surf on a car with no driver, you can turn it side to side.
