Werewolves simply because in my opinion a vampire should be eternally youthful and really strong. In Oblivion you were just a little bit stronger. So because of that [censored] up my alliegence has wandered.

I like vampires more. They are just more "human" than werewolves.

True
But I think werewolves are more human than vampires when they are in human form, there are no physical diffrences when they are in human form like vampires

David Brin once explained that your common wolf-man is you middle-class monster. They are the less snooty; less aristocratically conceited sort of monster.

Because lycanthropy is a curse and a disease. Complete control would make things too convenient, the way I see it, at least.

Besides, Hircine's Ring would be useless. Because Hircine's Ring lets you become a werewolf at will. So, if you want to turn whenever the fudgesicles you want, get the fudgeing Hircine's Ring. If you want to know how to get it, summon or PM Hircine.

Screw the stupid ring. I did say that you would have the benefits of awsomness so long as you kept feeding, like vampirism. Which is also a curse and disease.

Hircines ring allows you to turn into a werewolf without the negative effects of having to feed.

It just seems unfair to have to wait until a full moon to turn into one. Every night would be cool.

Edit: You think they might put in werewolfs, now that they realise a lot of us want them back.

They could just make Lycanthropy a skill, when you first turn, which will raise depending on how long you stay as one.

Adept: Werewolf every full moon, must feed on ten humans every night, basic bonuses

Apprentice: Werewolf every night, must feed on one human every night, advanced bonuses

Expert: Werewolf every night (though able to hold off), must feed on either one human or two animals, superior bonuses

Master: Werewolf at will, can feed on one animal a night, best bonuses.

And for Vampirism...

Adept: Abomination to society, must feed often, full sun damage, basic bonuses, 100% fire weakness

Apprentice: Hated by Society, must feed every other day, large sun damage, advanced bonuses 75% fire weakness

Expert: Disliked by Society, must feed at least once a week, minor sun damage, superior bonuses, 40% fire weakness

Master: Neutral to Society (Considered normal), must feed once a month, little to no sun damage, best bonuses, 25% fire weakness

Don't be silly. My question one whether they did or not was answered on the Bethesda podcast with a "yes we do".

Actually, I would like it if I could control how often I turned into a werewolf with attributes, similar to certain mods.

Willpower is the typical one used currently.

I'd also like to see strength/endurance to help, too. Also Luck.

Maybe instead of a skill, this could be tied into how long you've been a werewolf/vampire. Adept = just became one, Master = been one for in-game year. I think that'd be cool. Older vampires are more powerful, right? The same principle could apply to werewolves.

This, now the question is, would you rather it be part of the game or DLC?
I love all of your ideas, specially more so about if you are one or the other for a long time in game than so and so skills with go up:), I for one would love it either way, DLC or ingame day one I mean...

Btw Everyone: Thank you for posting so much :)

I allways liked vampires a lot and I'm glad I can play one in TES games. Of course the various glitches in Oblivion destroyed the joy of playing a vampire, but the possibility is still very nice. I just hope in TES V the vampires will be better handled then in both previous games. As far as were-creatures go, it would be nice to have them in TES V especially if it takes place in Skyrim and I can see no reason why they should not be playable. I just cannot imagine I would play as one, because to me, the were-creatures are just too britsh. I like the cunning, lithe and deadly vampires better.

"...than in BOTH the previous games..."
That just made me laugh.
Poor Daggerfall.
Also, I want to vote for were-boars.

Well, willpower does make sense.

Strength maybe not, but a high endurance could negate the effects not feeding for a time.

High willpower could let you feed on animals, rather than people.

It's just I feel my non mages should be able to resist becoming a werewolf, too.

Actualy, though, I thought about it, and I would rather see the lycanthropy skill listed above, though. Either as some kind of misc skill, or a willpower related skill that wouldn't be available until I catch Lycanthropy, and it would be there even after I get cured, if I can.

Sounds interesting but that just makes it seem like a reminder that you can become one, which isn't bad or anything but what if you forget to add it in than get attcked by a werewolf and want to become one but can't cuz you didn't add it?

I'm cool with Vampires too though. If you ask me, we are gonna need both in the next game.

I got bored of this thread, but going back and seeing this, I figure I have to make my point

Nah, no cure for me, whats the point?

Um, so you weren't responsible for the deaths of thousands?

Also this was just about ur complying alot and me just wanting you to stop not you going on about my dream

Actually no, what it's about is me pointing out to hamsmagoo that he even said lycanthropy was a disease and a curse, so I questioned why he found being diseased and cursed in a video game fun and then anologized it to real life, explaining that a normal person in real life with lycanthropy wouldn't enjoy his condition, and would want to cure it. Then you, for some reason, came in talking about how it's your dream to be a werewolf despite the fact that you wouldn't even know you were a werewolf until somebody told you and you would have to kill someone every night just so you could fulfill your sick fantasy that you don't even actively participate in anyways. Anyways, I really don't understand why everyone loved Morrowind's lycanthropy. How come it was fun to be forced to do the same thing every in game night for absolutely no reward but it wasn't fun to get the blight? I mean honestly, blight should be MORE fun, you actually get to play the game without being interrupted constantly.
