Let them announce it when they're ready. It's better if we don't get a rushed game.

It was hard enough in Morrowind that they didn't implement it until the second expansion. They actually said flat out that they didn't plan on ever doing werewolves in Oblivion because the new character generator made it even harder.

This I don't understand, especially after seeing how it was done in Morrowind. The werewolf mesh was effectively a type of robe which the player "wore" whenever they transformed. I don't see why the unequipable clothing method wouldn't work for Oblivion. No messing with the actual character faces is needed.

Werewolves are much better than vampires, but they should bring back the slaughter requirements.

Never really cared to play either too much in the game. It was something about the stature and look of the werewolves that was just a bit too small for my tastes. The vampires were okay, and I like the idea of the three clans to deal with. But as others have noted, you really have to steel up playing one, given how you're not much liked anywhere.

But for a great looking arcanid, I loved the mod of the Wolven, where they give you a larger body with Khajiiti proportions, but the great heads of wolves. It was like a simple two legged wolf. I liked that look, and the mod provided a den of them in-game, which is modding gold when a creator furnishes a population so you're not the only one.

But yea I like the way the werewolves looked in Morrowind, I saw a mod for Oblivion and how they looked like (dare I saw Twilight Werewolves) I don't like it, I like it were they look humanoid most

You made this the wrong kind of poll. Everyone can select both of them.

I totally like werewolves more than Vampires. I do not like that Vampires must feed all the time and that they are damaged by the sun if they dont make other people Vampires. Damn. I do actually like Werelions, Werebears, Wereboars and Werevultures more than Werewolves though. Just personal preference.

They better have Werebears in Skyrim or im gonna flip.
Werewolves. Of course. I love anything associated with Hircine ^_^

Though I do love how, prior to Oblivion, Vampires were quite different to cliché vampires. Unless I'm mistaken, most vampires tend to look like humans with fangs. At least in modern media. I also love how every other vampire aint in love with a human <_<.
Werewolves.

In Morrowind being a vampire makes it impossible to do most anything and in Oblivion, being a vampire is exactly like being a regular person. It's so easy to feed in secret because you have compete control.

But, the werewolf in Morrowind makes for an interesting time. You can maintain a secret identity and beat the main quest, but there's challenge becaue you have to pay extra attention to the times. And taking transportation is always too big a risk.

Generally, you wait to turn, then use your super werewolf speed to travel between cities. I also love the distorted view and the grunting noises and the disturbing dreams. Man, this is making me want to become a werewolf again.

This is the common ground between us. I love you guys.

Vampires return is a no brainer. What ever was in both Morrowind and Oblivion is bound to be in TES 5.

I don't care what province the game is set, were-creatures are a necessity. They add a gameplay element not commonly seen in popular games.

Of all of lifes real creatures, I have always loved wolves. They are my favorite animal.

Honestly, I prefer werewolves. Not even an Elder Scrolls thing, I just like werewolves better. I hope they bring back lycanthropy in the next game. I really do. However, I felt it was way to hard in Morrowind to realistically be a lycan AND get things done (well, not hard, but seriously inconvenient). I hope next game, they do something where if you're a lycan, you can willfully transform into and back from a werewolf at any time. Being a werewolf during they day is considerably weaker than at night. On full moons, you transform whether or not you want to and your werewolf form is strongest.

I'm going to have to go with team Werewolf; what can I say I liked becoming a werewolf and added for some interesting roleplays. I'm just hoping that in the future there will be werewolfs in the next game and looks like the Morrowind variety.

Also Hircine>Molag Bal (Creator of the vampires).

This^
I hope that as well, the being able to turn into one at any time but weaker during the day than at night and during a full moon you Have to change no matter what or what you are doing a gain a extra boost of 10+ to certain statues, so like if you gain a boost of 40+ to lets say Attack and Agality, than when it is a full moon and you have to change than gain a extra 10+ ontop of that to make it 50 bonues statues..
Also Idk how this would work but also if you changed during a full moon have your hunger be worse (aka have HP go down a bit faster like in Morrowind when you didn't feed in exchange for being a tad more powerful and somehow be out of control?)
Sorry for misspellings and crappy ideas

Oh god I forgot all about the hunger thing... They should take that out too... At least the dying part. Maybe stat drain or stunted fatigue or slower fatigue build up. I really don't want to mistakenly kill a quest NPC to avoid dying/

You won't because a big text box pops up in your face. And in Morrowind, I'm pretty sure you could kill wilderness creatures, too. It was just required that you killed something.

You could only eat guards and bandits to be safe, anyway.

No, it had to be a person. And the problem with Bandits is that you can go long periods of time without seeing bandits. And with guards, there is huge risk, because you'll usually have to deal with more than just the guard, and unless he's a traveling guard, you might revert in the middle of town. Oh, also, I think that if a person witnesses you transform, if you kill them before they get within a certain distance from another NPC you won't be known as a werewolf. Or even if they do, if you kill the other NPC too you aren't known as a werewolf. In fact, only people who have learned about you through this simulated word of mouth know about your wolfiness.

On the uesp, it says humanoids, but I could have sworn I remember eating nix hounds to fill my bloodlust. Oh well, ether way, it's not that tough to find bandits or the like because most of the caves are filled with tasty hostile humanoids.

I remember playing through most of the main quest as a werewolf when I was like 16. I eventually got discovered and had to get myself cured, but still, not that tough.

I never said it was hard. It's just annoying. It's a huge interruption and you literally can't do anything for the entire in-game night.

That's generally what I'd expect to happen if I'm a werewolf.

And originally you said being a werewolf runs a big risk of accidentally killing a main quest NPC.

I was very disappointed with the fact that there were no Werewolves in Oblivion. I loved my Werewolf Nord in Morrowind/Bloodmoon so I choose Werewolf. :)

I love my werewolf Nord in Morrowind/Bloodmoon as well:) I still have her, but ya, *She's new? I hate getting corrupt files!!!:( *

About the killing a Quest NPC, they should just make it so that they don't die, like they just get knocked out, sure it may not make sense but hey its better than breaking the game if you can't beat the main story you know?

Also the only reason why I put down the hunger thing with having your health go down is because if you think of it, if you are hungry, specially starving you are bound to be weaker because of the pain it is causing you, so it makes more sense imho that you would have the HP gauge go down since you are in such pain from the Hunger, but you should be able to kill/eat ANYTHING humanoid or not to fill the bloodlust..

I also want a eat/ripping apart animation :D :flamethrower:

Werebears are superior to either.

I mean, it takes the number one threat to our nations (bears) and combines with with all the badassness of a were-creature. Its like, badass ^ 2!

Normally I would say vampires, but in TES the vampires are really nothing more than crazed diseased people who are unorganized and live in sewers and tombs. I know theres different clans in morrowind but I've never played a vampire so I wouldn't know what they're like.

Werewolves FTW... but weresharks are a whole other awesome. I can't imagine anything more terrifying than a shark running around on land.
