I'd rather not see the LW...but if he's there. [censored] it, I'll buy him a beer.

Hah. Meet Nigel? He'd actually be in the Commonwealth at some point in his life im sure. it was only the boundries of finished reality encasing the Capital Wasteland that kept his exploration and wandering restricted to DC. If he was a real person in a real Falloutverse he'd be all over the post-nuclear Americas, not just limited to the US of A.
Its not going to happen since I really can't see Bethesda establshing a 100% canon LW that is completely different to our characters just so they could have a nifty encounter. But part of roleplaying for me is to create my own fiction, and having all of my different RP characters meet up with eachother is something I really enjoy thinking up scenarios for. The Fallout 4 character is a bit of a prototype right now, but i'm sure the conversation between the two would be less about saving the wastes and more swapping travel stories and nerding out about all of the weaponry they've found.
My Lone Wandered is either
A) Being Lord of the Pitt after defeating Ashur. Its hard work recruiting new people to produce steel and waiting for scientists to produce a cure for the Trog affliction
Waiting on his spaceship while waiting for the other Aliens to turn up.
Either way I doubt he is hanging around the Capital Wasteland drinking purified water.
And it WAS a sloppy mess. I had spent over an hour putting in all my information, only for it not to sync up to my Xbox live account. I then spent an hour and a half with customer service trying to figure out the problem. What a joke.
Then I ended up not even liking DA:I.
Oh I just realised. My Current Lone Wandered is trying to read the Krivbeknih
I did always wonder how the Lone Wanderer would end up.
At least with the Vault Dweller we knew how he ended up (founded a village with fellow vault dwellers and started his own family)
The Chosen One ends up the Elder of his original village and also passes on
The Lone Wanderer is a bit of a mystery. There is lots of things he could end up being or none of them. I kinda think he ended up living in Rivet City and found a significant other (Sydney?) and thats that, but certainly FO3 were much more open with endings than FO1 and FO2 were.
Would really ruin my game-to-game RP...wouldnt mind some punk claiming to be the LW based off of the "Legend" just so we can question him and see what crazy stuff he has to say...might end up being like those pathetic Chuck Norris jokes the internet cannot stop shoving up their hind-ends
I guess with his godlike abilities (9 in every special, maxed out skills) he would just complete the main quest for us. And then go on to solve everyone's problems just like he did in dc. Seriously imagine if boston was just another dlc area for him to dike around in, he'd have that place licked in a third the time it takes for 111 to meander through it.
Actually i think that is the real reason past protagonists shouldn't show up again, if they followed the insane drive to complete everything like they do in their own game there would be nothing left for the new protagonist to do
That would be good, kinda like Conrad Verner from Mass Effect.
Well it would seem a little odd to me since in my FO3 playthrough, my char sacrificed himself so is already dead. Though if he showed up as a ghoul it could be plausible.
didn't the lone wanderer die in the canon fallout 3? like after project purity you get locked in that room and cant get out and you die right? That was the whole annoying part about how you couldn't keep playing the game after completing the main story. I know they edited that so that you could continue but wasn't the canon that the lone wanderer dies?
Only if we say Broken Steel is non-canon. But Broken Steel most likely is canon... so no the Lone Wanderer don't die at Project Purity.
They did do that though. I remember playing the vanilla game of fallout 3 and couldn't continue, a lot of people were furious. but then expansions came out so I guess the expansions are canon
Oh no. The Expansions are canon. Whatever will we do.
I never said it was a bad thing, I just haven't played them
