What do you NOT want in Skyrim?

Post » Fri Aug 27, 2010 2:06 pm

Who says he had the internet when he played Morrowind? According to the US census data from 2003 (year after morrowind was released) only 55% of people had internet in their houses. Sure he could have gone to a friend, or a library. But I wouldn't be bothered to do it for a game. Even if he had internet he would either have to play in windowed mode or alt-tab every time he needed to look up something and that is just irritating.

He's a she.

Also it's really not that hard to switch from the game to the internet to get hints. If you're have to continually switch to the point that it becomes burdensome perhaps you shouldn't be operating a computer.

Also, really? 55%? Link? That's surprisingly low, especially for US, though she isn't in America anyway.

Were you not aware of the Internet when you played Morrowind?

I never used the internet before April last year. I started playing games when I found Oblivion. About a year after it came out. It was my 1st ever game. I then discovered FO3 and got it because it was a Bethesda game. Joined Ign when I saw a Tv game show talking about N Vegas. Wanted to ask a question about it, ended up with a 'thread' because I didn't know what I was doing. Got to know about this place because someone nice put a 'link' to help me with Mw. issues. I started Mw. about 1 month ago, having been encouraged to try by the com. on the ES topic page at Ign. I use the internet for absolutely nothing other than going to the ES topic thing at Ign, and have now joined here. I have no idea how to do anything else on the 'net' and 'navigate' here with two lines that show when I click on the 'e' symbol
The only 'virtual' thing that interests me are the Bethesda games mainly, and a few other of the dozens of games I have bought to see if I could find anything to amuse me in the 'desert' between new Bethesda games.
My secretary, husband or PA do and always have done, any business I may have needed a computer to do. I have never used 'word' or whatever, I don't know how to add an attch. to an email, or anything else to do with anything other than to 'click load, click next' etc to put my games into my computer
I now have a serious 'muscle' game orientated computer, a friend who can occasionally 'remote view' and add mods to my games for me, or help me sort out issues
I am a pc idiot other than playing my games. I think that about covers it

Uh...why do you not want leveling? I rather like advancing from level 1 to level 2 to level 3 and so on...

if they do it right then yes I want it

BUT if they make it like Oblivion then I just rather eat my feet.

Wow, well if you need any help I'm sure a number of us would be willing to help.

Word is not too bad at all by the way, if you can type here and use Bold, Italics, and Underline (the B, I, and U above the area you type in on the screen) you should be fine with word.

Sorry, Forgot to tell you, only got the internet AOL because I got really frustrated about not being able to ask for help when I got stuck in a game.
It is rather expensive and few private people have it. I live in a small village on the eastern coast of the Cape province in the Tsitsikama rainforest and the nearest town is 68km away and the nearest city, 200km. away.
Getting the net connection meant sacrificing other luxuries. Believe me, having Aol IS a luxury in my world.

I don't know how too!!!
They had to guide me through the process of 'hit the big key with the arrow to get your text on another line" !!!
Took me about two months to figure out how to use the 'smileys'!!! :whistling:

I sent you a PM (Private Message) with some basic advice about how to do some of the basic functions of Word. They're the same in Word, basically, as they are in this forum.

If you look up near the top of the forum there's a grey bar with your name, ShirleyShine, and right next to your name there is what looks like an envelope.

If you click on that envelope it will show you my message.

It explains about Bold, Italics, Underlining, making Dotted or Numbered lists, and Right Justification, Centering, and Left Justification.

Finally, back on topic, please forgive me but i felt like a jerk...

One thing I'd like not to see too much of again is insect enemies. I didn't much like the Kwama Foragers or Kwama Queen of Morrowind and I could have done without all those bug enemies from Shivering Isles.

No Arena style music or graphics.

Nor Daggerfall randomly gerorated content or multiple endings.

I don't want Morrowind style text and NPCs.

Oblivion style level scaling and voices.

Fallout 3's gore and VATS.

That does not leave much origionality to the game

a dungeon filed with adoring fans

Actually that would actually be fun because you could slaughter all of them.

Things I don't want are multiplayer and the speech minigame.

Honestly, cutting-edge graphics.

I'm tired of games going for the gold on graphics engines at the cost of gameplay. Spend less time on making things "pretty", and more time making a huge world, strong quest lines, and solid gameplay mechanics.

And if there's still space afterwards, spend time making things pretty. :shifty:

What is wrong with, s this a joke they are my favourite race and I know they are very ugly but they can change that.
Anyway which race isn't ugly. They are the wood elf they can't remove them, I want ma bow an arrow.

Btw I dont want crappy voice acters ie a female Orc with an amercican voice.
Randomly genertated caves and landscape.

Axes under blunt I mean at least add it to blade!

But the diffrence between blade and blunt has to do with weight... http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1151553-meet-the-devs-7/page__st__140 scroll down until you find the huge wall of text
