Idefinately don't want: Guns, vats, or anything that takes away from the ES experience we have in Oblivion.
I don't want multiplayer. I don't want online play. I don't want to have to spend a month trying to get an online acc. to activate my game because they have a conflict with my service provider.
I don't want the game to be too different to Oblivion. You guys obviously got it right or we would not still be playing it.
So....please no online activation. It should be enough that we have a copy in our hands, can load it, and play it.
People who steal your games are doing it WITH online activation. Don't punish everybody. Out here in the 'sticks' [Republic of South Africa] very few people are Aol or even have access to internet.
Any improvements are welcome.
Hate being responsible for 'other' lives. Don't want perm. companions.

No companion quests that are given to you only after you drag around a tact-less fool for 20 hours and leads to some of the best loot in the game.

No FNV/Obsidian influence whatsoever.

Level Scailing
Unkillable NPC's - LET ME KILL THEM LIKE IN MORROWIND!!!
"Waiting" - let me sleep like in morowind anywhere there isnt monsters.
Fast Travel. Let there be places i can get a ferry or something like morrowind, but no fast travel like in oblivion
Quest Markers. If you discover the location of the cave, give me a market to the cave, but once inside, let me hunt it down!! I dont want a marker screaming to me "O LOOK HERE I AM!!!"

Oh, I definitely agree with you about waiting. Why exactly do I need a bed to sleep, again? The only place where maybe you should be limited to waiting is inside towns.

Yes, I miss those unforgiving environment of older RPGs, Morrowind included.

Would result in immense sense of progression and satisfaction, If you prospered in such an environment, and accomplished things without hand-holding.

I don't want Hand Holding, multiplayer of any kind, Guns or other powder based weaponry, Generic use of Dragons, Graphics at the expense of Gameplay(Great graphics are fine, as long as the gameplay is better.) Long cutscenes, Essential NPCs, Axes in Blunts(I don't care the reason why, it is stupid.), VATS or other Original Fallout features(Which Mods for Morrowind and oblivion have been doing hardcoe mode way longer than New Vegas was even an Idea, so that can be included.), Making Argonians and Khajiit Imperials with different head meshes and textures. Voice acting(Well since they feel it needs it, voice acting that doesn't svck. Only one good voice actor in Oblivion, Patrick Stewart, the rest was poorly done) Lack of easter Eggs, simplification fo the skill system, Stupid use of fast travel(It's a service, and should cost something.) And more I am probably forgetting.

Well that's what I liked about Oblivion. There was a little bit of everything, yes even the Adoring Fan. I mean, look at allllll the youtube videos for Sticky and the Adoring Fan. Think of how they made you laugh, without those annoying characters who would we spend weeks figuring out the perfect way to murder them. I would want nothing less than Oblivion, if not then more.
On another note, I don't want there to not be spears, I don't want there to not be beards (Pick a beard style similar to picking hair style)
I also don't want everyone to have the same body type. there should be a scale that adds or removes body fat/muscle similar to in Saints Row 2, if any of ya'll have played.

DON'T WANT:
Level scaling
VATS
Copy-Pasted cells
Guns, cannons, etc.
Psychic guards
Be the Grandmaster of all factions.

WANT:
Many factions
Ending on main quest depends on what you have done, and who you have, or have not supported/helped.
Spears
More skills (not only blunt, hand to hand and blade for melee weapons)
Medium armor
Horse combat
Arena LAN multiplayer (you can fight against a friend in the arena). No multiplayer that decreases the quality of the main game, just a nifty "One vs. one in the arena" mini multiplayergame (Ever tried the multiplayer in Overlord?)

I don't want morrowind style combat where during an escort mission of a pilgrim, said pilgrim engages in combat with a cliffracer, miraculously punching the cliffracer as he's 15 feet above her head.

Level scaling
All knowing compas
Immersion-breaking fast travel
Generic and boring landscape and enviroments (ala oblivion)
Smaller villages consisting of 2-3 houses (I'd rather not have them at all then)
Further downgrading of ingame lore.

Also, guys whats the point of saying fx "No spears" in a thread asking what you dont want. I realize it's just a semi-clever way to say what you do want, but it really doesn't belong in this thread

Multiplayer and a whiney ass main character that I have to help.

Whiny ass player character. Seriously, can we get a PC that doesn't yelp like a little girl when he gets hit?

And of course..

TomTom Magic Quest GPS
Magic-Autopilot Fast Travel
Further :cough: "streamlining" (Known in Straight Truth Land as "Dumbing Down.")
Guilds with no skill requirements
Compass Radar - if I can't see the cave over the next hill, I shouldn't know it's there.
Lockpicking minigames (what the [censored] do I have a skill for if it's all about my and not the character's skill?!)
Speechcraft minigames
Console-ified User Interface for PC players
Console-ified anything shipped in a box labeled "For Windows PC"
Level scaling
Multiplayer of any type whatsoever
Omniscient "Stop right there, criminal scum!" guards and their nonsense. Reasonable detection please?

I don't want:

Oblivion style level scaling
Copied features from other games. Skyrim should feel like Elder Scrolls games.
Small land mass
Few large dungeons
Few side quests
Simplified RPG elements
Multiplayer
Exact map system
Too revealing compass
Guns
Companions
Small villagelike cities
Meaningless NPCs without personality ( btw. I think that adoring fan was very good and creative idea. Thhank you Bethesda.)
