What do you NOT want in Skyrim?

Post » Thu Aug 26, 2010 9:10 pm

Well there is a main forum for what you want in Skyrim, so I figured, why not make a forum to express what you do not want to see in Skyrim.

My list:
Adoring Fan
Fargoth
Lock picking mini game (Oblivion style)
Speechcraft mini game (Oblivion style)
Multiplayer
Vats
Level Scaling
Not having beards
Not having spears

No Arena style music or graphics.

Nor Daggerfall randomly gerorated content or multiple endings.

I don't want Morrowind style text and NPCs.

Oblivion style level scaling and voices.

Fallout 3's gore and VATS.

a dungeon filed with adoring fans

Who are mounted on cliffracers.

Lets see, I didn't like the homocidal ecosystem of Morrowind. That was annoying.

"Oh look! I took five steps out of town, and their is a cliffracer!"

*Waits for literally 10 minutes for the damn thing to get into melee with you*

"Screw it. I need to visit the marksman trainers."

Then as soon as you kill the damn thing, another two or three would be about ten steps away. The agro range on them is insane! But Cliffracers in general are not my complaint here, the complaint is how frequently they show up, and how every time an epic song would start playing to capture the moment of how grand my adventure is, something weak attacks out of nowhere.

Encounters should be more interesting than "Monster has spawned... Kill it." Or at the very least like how fallout would randomize encounters so that maybe that raider attacks you, or maybe you run into a merchant. It kept things interesting.

I don't want the whole world to look like a randomly generated heightmap, ala Oblivion. Give me hand crafted valleys, peaks, gorges and mesas!

Adoring fan who rides a cliff racer which constantly shrieks at your back as they follow you around, and get alarmed as you try to open a lock and call the guards if you try to steal a spoon.

We find out the Adoring Fan's grand son is Dovakiin and we have to take him on a massive main quest escort mission.

Hes also a spoiled nobility. We have to sadly defend him against legions of Cliffracers.
