What do you NOT want in Skyrim #2

Post » Wed Apr 06, 2011 6:25 pm

The only thing I can think of is some hair style mods are too anime influenced. It's a small thing I don't like and I know it is silly, but I'd prefer if NPCs hair didn't go to extremes in that area. Although I wish hair could be made longer than Oblivion allowed..

Magic/GPS compass
Oblivion fast travel (although this has already been confirmed in the GI issue, I think?)
Level scaling (not sure if this is only with random quests or throughout the entire game -- I sure hope not.)
Multiplayer.
Psychic guards.
Guns.

No guns, quest markers, fast travel (aside from Morrowinds), or simplification of the magic system.

No more Necromancer olympics :)

Explanation: necromancers and daedra worshipers will want to keep you at long range, and they'll run the hell of their legs to ensure that. That means taking one down as a warrior would require you to chase him through the whole dungeon. Once you're done with him, the other five mages are already aware of your presence and do the same thing. By the time your done with all of them, you've runned around more than on olympic sprinter. Hence the name :)

necromancy.
not having an arena. i really liked the arena in oblivion
i don't want a few major cities. i want a min. of 10 or 15.
not being able to set arrows on fire. sure you could use an enchanted arrow but it'd be a lot cooler if it was on fire as you launched it.
that boring repetitive combat system in oblivion.
oblivion level scaling.

I do not want missing cities or places, like Sutch in Oblivion, which was supposed to be the main city of the eponymous County.

After some research, I found that the following places were mentioned in previous games :

Amol, Amber Guard, Black Moor, The Crypt of Hearts, Dawnstar, Dragon Bridge, Dragon Wood, Dunmeth pass, Dunpar Wall, Dunstad Grave, Falkreath, Granitehall, Greenwall, Haafingar (Solitude), Helarchea Creek, High Hrotgar, Hsaarik Head (in Skyrim’s Broken Cape), Karthwasten, Lainalten, Labyrinthian, Laintar Dale, Larvan's Stronghold, Markarth, Markarth Side, Nevgrad Watch, Nimalten City, North Keep, Oakwood, Old Fort, Pargran Village, Reich Corigate, Riften, Riverwood, The Isle of Roscrea, Saarthal’s ruins, Snowhawk, Stonehills, Sunguard, Vernim Wood, Whiterun, Windhelm, Winter Hold.

Ok, 200 years are a very long time, so many of them may have fallen. But if they are not in, I would like to be given at least some pieces of explanation, and the possibility to visit their ruins...

In other words, I do NOT want spontaneous and inexplicable disappearances...

No worries about that as the Player Character will not be voiced with 10 playable races.

Absence of werewolves/vampires.

It would be stupid not to include these.

Because.

Multiplayer just wouldn't be fun in this sort of game, especially if it's going to be anything like Oblivion; where you could get 100% reflect damage without cheating....

and that couldn't be easily tweaked? i understand the game isn't set up perfect for pvp, and i wouldn't want it to become a competitive dueling game, but i don't see any major issue holding this game back from allowing you to beat on your friends and have a fun time.

If Skyrim is anything like oblivion was, I do not want to be all they ever talk about when I ask about rumors when/if I become famous.

I suppose the game mostly done. I personally don't see too much of a point in "put in" or "don't include" threads

Good point, but I thought it would be fun to give the community a place to express what they don't want in a game.

- No Hard to find potions like Stimpacks in Fallout

- No Merchants running out of money

-No Riding dragons

-No boundaries like fallout

-No multiplayer

And basically no gameplay like Fallout's

Similar looking armors! One thing that disappointed me about OB was the fact that all the armors looked to similar, Morrowind had all unique armors.
