What do you prefer to do in Fallout 4?

Post » Sun Feb 07, 2016 10:31 am

I know there are so many more things to do than what I listed and if you want to add something I didn′t bring up, you′re welcome to do so. Glad to see you used the options I presented though as I tried to at least cover the biggest things I could think of :)

Exploring, especially searching for some cool concepts, especially weird/funny placed skeletons ^^

1) Exploring

2) Side Quests

3) MQ

4) Building

I love the concept of settlement building, but I'm not on-board with its execution. I find it frustrating (PS4). If it were more like building in The Sims (3 or 4, take your pick), I'd be all over it and it could very well have taken the number 1 spot. In all, though, I'd say items 1-3 are all so close, it's hard to put them in order! Depends on my mood at the moment, I suppose :D.

I'm starting to like building the 2nd time around. But chem making, mod building, and trying different perks are fun for me. I enjoy interesting side quests from exploring also. It's my 2nd time around so I haven't made the same mistakes the first time around. Made way to many and missed out on way too much my 1st run finishing at level 104

Building, arming and fighting along side the settlers.

Still tons for me to do quest wise. 3 months in on my main never even been to the institute yet.

Made an alt, beat the main quest in 2 days. Lost interest in that one already

I answered 'building' because that is what usually drives me to explore and I consider it all part of the same aspect of the game. Gathering materials for building, or equipment for my settlers always has me out in the field free form exploring. If it had been a poll that allowed multiple choices, I would have answered both exploring and building.

The single largest allocation of my time is settlement management. And the more settlements built, the more time it takes away from other stuff. Build the settlement. As the number of settlers there grows, plants more crop, build more housing, increase defenses, add Trading Posts. Arm and armor the settlers with better weapons and armor. Go to the next settlement and make sure everything there is current and up-to-date. And periodically deal with the "Please help us!" quests.

What I enjoy the most is exploring. Followed by killing Raiders. (There's something just so, so, so satisfying in terminating thoroughly rotten human trash. "He needed killing, and I was the one on the scene to provide what was needed."

Exploring , expecially random encounter areas for the lulz.

And well, quests which i consider interesting, be it MQ or side ones, as long they're enjoyable (mass fusion battle or USS constitution one, for example), i am okay with it.

Minuteman radiant's or building its just a mechanic that gets lifting the "levels/items farming" aspect, more than the rpg one.

Exploring but that's by default. I don't find the MQ interesting, the SQ are meh for the most part and I'm not a fan of settlement building.

Well, can′t say I′m surprised that exploring has the lead. After all, it′s a Beth game and I′m amongst Beth fans :)

Doing side quests, because they give me a reason to explore! And I love exploration. And by side quest, I don't mean those radiant things.

So in this order:

  1. Side quests

  2. Exploration

  3. Building

  4. Main Quest

Not particularly.

Besides, the BoS in this game are led by someone with extremely questionable morality.

Basically, I don't want to get involved in disputes between the Railroad and BoS, so I'm just going to avoid them and use the Minuteman to go to endgame, simply because they don't want to start wars with any of the other 2 "good" factions.

As for the Institute, I have no interest in being allied with them, so they're going to be "excised with extreme prejudice".

Exploring all the little things in Fallout is Great :) Bethesda's speciality is constructing a beautiful open worlded environment, although I would love to spend half my day building sprawling settlements, but there's still far to much to see!

Can`t choose. I somehow do all in the same time. I head to do some MQ and on the way I find some interesting location and forget about MQ. I go to explore it and to check if there are any interesting side quests there. Then I see loads of junk and forget about quests. I collect all junk so I can come back and build something. When I come back there is Preston waiting for me to tell that he has something else for me... That is how it was in the beginning :) . Now I mostly build and explore. If I really have to choose... let`s say exploring then.

exploring :D

I'm the guy that can spend hours in a location just to see every inch of the whole level...

Even in the games that aren't really ment to be explored :D level design and variety is the most important aspect of any singleplayer game for me
