What do you do in the oblivion portals?

Hello again:)

I have posted this in another topic, but i thought it would be
fun hear what the fellow oblivion players do when they enter
the oblivion portals.

The first time i did a portal i was all sneaking around (wood elf) and
experiencing every corner. But now i'm enjoying the rush out
of just running like crazy through it all and at the same time try
top find clever passages that leads to the goal. I'm would not
say i'm exploiting the oblivion areas, though i sometimes find some
nifty ways to jump or cross some nasty lava pits and steep hillsides:)

Here is a summary from the other thread:

- Today i runned through a Oblivion portal only stopping sometimes for bloodgrass
and other curiosities. I felt like i was running aorund in circles trying to stay away
from small creatures, but what do you know, i actually managed to get to the top
and close the portal to  All in say, 10 minutes or so:)

- Today i runned though 3 oblivion portals in under 20 minutes. I don't like
to slow phase of them and i really, really are having fun trying to get to the last
end without dying. Even if you press the thingy to stop the portal, there is a slight
chance that the horde of creatures that is after you will kill you before you get to
spawn to the other side

and now,... your turn:)

First time I did the Kvatch gate was with Renee Gade I. Honestly, I hated the experience. It freaked me the hell out. I don't think RG1 even entered the gate itself, actually; I just wanted to see what happens when she gets up there.

After visiting Kvatch, I remember also hating what happened to the rest of RG1's game. I missed the "old" Cyrodiil, with its placid country feel. New Cyrodiil kept having red skies and gates open up everywhere. I wasn't ready for them. Add to this the fact that glass and ebony-wearing bandits started appearing everywhere in her game, and immersion for me was broken and could not be fixed.

The other two times I did the gates would have been with Igodah Go^Pe and The Grey Wizard. Both are pure mages. So the experience in both cases was a magical one. Lots of sneaking around invisibly, lots of controling the Daedra and getting them to attack each other. Stuff like that. I've never done the MQ with a pure melee or pure sneak (or any combo of the two) and I'm not sure I'd want to do it this way.

Did the Kvatch gate, and a couple of others related to side-quests. Never really liked them with their redness and dead land. I did like one of the gates though but I won′t speak of which one as it can be somewhat of a spoiler.

my character (all of them) goes in,gets the job done, then leaves as quickly as possible.they don't like spending anymore time in oblivion than they have to. i miss the blue skies of cyrodiil too if i'm being honest.oblivion is just too oppressive feeling to stay for any length of time.
