What do you think of Bethesda's tight-lipped policy when it

Post » Tue Sep 14, 2010 5:43 am

This topic has come up in a bunch of different threads and I think it's one worth discussing. Some people are angry with the four plus year absence of news. Others feel Bethesda has every right to withhold information on the games they make.

So what's your stance on Bethesda's tight-lipped policy when it comes to TES? Are you sick of waiting? Or do you want Bethesda to take their sweet time?

Personally, I'd say I'm in the middle. Bethesda has every right to stay silent when it comes to the Elder Scrolls. It's their IP. They own it. On the other hand, Bethesda's success is dependent largely on us. We do put the money in their pockets. I'm getting a little impatient with this wait, but I'm willing to look past it because I know the wait will help produce an amazing and polished game.

Im in the middle too. I can see that it is a good thing but it still makes me a little angry sometimes.

This would be better handled by the Official Speculation thread.

In my experience on the forums people handle the wait much better when they have no information, once Bethesda announces something people seem to expect the amount of information released to escalate but it never does and that results in much crankier people than we have at the moment.
