You're right though, spring is babymaking season.

Not overly bothered. When in better shape I'd use hair removal cream (Captain Metrosixual incoming) but gave that up when takeaway turned to insulation. Not particularly bothered by it on women, either. I mean, there's definitely a limit, but expecting them to stay soft as peaches all the time never seemed reasonable.
I hate facial hair specially mine, it grows back quickly and itches like the dikeens.
Based on my vague understanding of natural selection it is highly sixy in the winter and ugly in the summer
i have never kissed any one with facial hair, that may be happening soon though. so i guess i will report back on that experience when it happens.
I am only arsed to shave when I need to. I have a decent amount of chest hair, but when I body board or surf the wax which is necessary for maintaining a grip on the board can get all up in my body hair. So I shave that, which means I kind of need s consistent look, so I shave the rest of my body hair on my torso when I do that. Not that there is a whole lot of it, but a decent sprinkling of hair. I just wish I could grow a fuller beard though. I can get a decent little thing going, but dammit if I can get a thick beard to save my life.
I do not find body hair attractive on the opposite six. I don't mind if a woman has some on her private area, but generally that needs to be groomed. If she gets a little stubble on the legs or armpit it doesn't bother me either, although I prefer both smooth.
I'll just leave http://adweek.blogs.com/.a/6a00d8341c51c053ef0120a8c9c1e8970b-pi http://media.mensxp.com/media/content/2014/Jan/chesthairgroomingtipsforindianmen3_1388756116.jpg
I'm old school - shave my face daily - never, ever mess with my body hair. Don't understand the new trend among mostly younger guys that's the exact opposite - waxing and shaving their entire bodies hairless like a little boy and then letting a week's worth of stubble grow on their faces.
I can simplify that down to one word if you like.
six.
It is kind of obvious. Clean body, women like it, lightly bearded face is masculine, yet they can still make out the contours of your jaw and see all the stuff they want to see. It is a preference in a lot of women where I am from, which likely differs greatly from wherever you are from, although I doubt the women where you are from would be complaining to much if their guy groomed themselves a bit. Obviously you don't go overboard with it though.
six is the motivation. The dudes that are shaving are doing it because it means more six or they think it means more six. I have done it as well, but I had additional reasons for it, as wax from a surfboard in your chest hair is incredibly annoying. I do know, that when I was in relationships, several of my girlfriends tended to be in the mood a lot more when I was shaven and all clean. They weren't going to dump me if I wasn't shaven, but they preferred me that way and my masculinity isn't tied up in my body hair. Although there were a few that really liked the hair so it isn't one dimensional either. I also know MANY women that hate body hair. Hell there even are a couple in this thread that think it is gross.
Many women like chest hair, but I have yet to meet a single one that likes back hair...then again, they only dislike back hair when it is really prevalent. Otherwise they usually don't care in my experience. However, given my location, where most people simply don't have a lot of body hair (asians) and they take most of their clothes off often (beach culture), simple logic tells me that shaved bodies are probably something that will become common among hairy men. What is their motivation to look appealing?
six...
Make sense now? Given that my roommate is a Marylander, it really doesn't shock me that you don't get it though. Different cultures value different things. Men have been shaving their body hair for centuries. This isn't "new school", it is just a bigger trend now.
In a perfect world I prefer women without body hair, but I don't really mind because if I was a woman, I probably wouldn't bother shaving either. As for myself, don't have much body hair, would like a little more and don't really understand straight men who shave it. Seems like a huge bother just to make yourself look like you're fifteen years old again.
Body hair on women is a no. On me, thank heavens I dont. My wife thinks chest and back hair is nasty and I agree.
I'm sure the mods are asking themselves the same thing, and watching to see just how far people are gonna go with these topics.
I manscape where it matters to be fresh and clean (like my ladies to do the same) but if you're not a wrestler or swimmer and you shave your pits or chest then it's weird. Thankfully I'm only moderately hairy on my body, my back has no hair (even the lower back ha) and my chest has a reasonable patch of hair that's been dubbed my "Man-Mane"
