What do you think could make new vegas better

Post » Sun Nov 15, 2009 1:00 pm

I love fallout, I love all of the Fallout Games, no matter how shallow or deep they are, lousy or great... :fallout:

Even the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance mod :o

But seriously, why do we need these arguments? Some of you people don't like Fallout 3, we get it, but so what?

Hmm Idk...

-Real Combat
-Thompson
-M1 Garands would fit this game Imo.
-No invisible walls everywhere you [censored] go.
-Actually locations that don't contain "safe house" or "shack"
-A way better NEW VEGAS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
-Lack of "battalion" of NCR troops (LOLZ at their 50 soldier count)
- A new graphics engine
-Talon Company, cause they cool.
-Battle at Hoover Dam should have had more casualties and less pointless places to be at during the time.
-Sniper Rifles svcked
-RANDOM ENCOUNTERS lacked entirely
-Better character customization, less age more face concepts
-Beginning of the story is the main reason why I do not play the game, not even [censored] joking...
-Vaults became burdens to explore
-Kinda slap you the pipboy and vault suit for no reason huh??
-More wasteland doctors.
-Come Fly With Me... to hell.

More random encounters and spawning so it's not always the same 4 geckos in the same predictable spot.
Some interiors (caves, buildings, whatever) that respawn.
More armor/clothing design choices. I don't care about more powerful stats...but more design options would have been nice. I like dress-up in rpg's, but without mods, the choices are pretty lackluster in NV.

No Invisible walls

More buildings to loot....sometimes it took me a couple of days to complete buildings in Fallout 3...NV 20 minutes tops!

More quests in the towns...as well as longer to complete.

More people in towns

I love this game but I think they got a little lazy on it. Look at all the stuff they took from FO 3....already done for them...you'd think they could have added alot more new stuff to the game.

I hate making the ammo...I think that should only be for Survivor mode.

Ok, off my soapbox. Thank God for the wonderful mods out there cause the game gets so boring and repetetive sometimes!

More dangerous combat, more encounters, more interesting non-quest areas and random spawns. More high end human baddies to kill. A better sandbox in otherwords.

The writing in FNV crushes F3. The choices in FNV quests crushes F3. The quests crushes F3(there are a few lame ones, but overall). Just improve the pacing, so it is fun to wonder the waste with 30 minutes to kill and have some mindless ACTION!
:gun:

And while the overall theme in F3 is more Space Opera then FNV, the storyline in FNV was better in my opinion.

And fix explosives for the love of god! :nuke: Nukes outdamage guns. Period. No one cares if Iran gets a couple of guns, it is the nukes!

You were hit for 31 points of damage.

You were hit for 19 points of damage.

You were critically hit for 78 points of damage and killed.

You See: Laser Rifle

Mother Deathclaw struck in the eyes for 15 points of damage.

*Switch to Plasma Rifle*

Mother Deathclaw struck in the eyes for 205 points of damage, causing immense damage.

*Oh i think i am going to win!!"

Mother Deathclaw knocks you flat on your power-armored ass and repeatadly gets crits for 25-30 damage, whittling you down to a bloody skeleton.

Talon Company wouldnt make sense on the West Coast, because they arent stupid enough to run across the country for no reason, spreading themselves thin and weakening themselves.

Enclave Patrol was critically hit for 1978 points of damage, and killed

Enclave Patrol was hit for 258 points of damage, and killed

Enclave Patrol was hit for 376 points of damage, and killed

Vindicator/Bozar insanity....and that is before taking the ridiculously overpowered Sniper perk

And once you had your own APA with its insane statistics, your only chance of being downed was a critical, and that didn't happen very often.
Fallout 2 had one hit solvers for every phase of the game. The Magnum early game, the P90/.223 Pistol combo as mid game devastator, the M72/Pulse Rifle/Bozar/Vindicator as end game doom bringers.
Perhaps I've played a different FO2, but I never found the combat to be extraordinary difficult there.

They were stupid enough to endlessly send underpowered teams after a person they couldn't even put scratch on, though.
Anyway, somehow I miss them too. Their willingness to supply me with Combat Armor sets even on far out places of the map, saved me the occasional backtrack to my safehouse for repairing issues...

The ability to fill up empty bottles. There are so SO many water bottles laying around, so I took one to a fresh water source in hope I could fill it up. But I couldn't.

Meh, the disguise feature is buggy and unneeded. I've removed the faction script from every armor so i can wear what i want and not be attacked by a friendly faction because i tried an opposing faction's armor on 20h ago

Stealth Boy is the only disguise i need :D

I typically make way towards Navarro around level 18. You don't get Sniper until level 24. So in essence when you're level 24 then yes, you kick major Enclave ass. Before then, not so much.

Woops didn't read that. So wait, how come whenever I go Bozar on the I only do like 68 damage without sniper?
