What do you think of new vegas so far?

Based on what you've seen so far, previews, interviews, gameplay videos, what do you think of NV, if you preordred do you think it was worth it? Why or why not?

Too many options, guess it's nice.
It still won't be the best though.
But a damn good fallout game.

Voted for very good. I'd vote stellar, but the gameplay looks really clunky, and they have a lot of polishing up to do.

I would vote, but that would be based on all of the hype that I can't help but create for myself. If everything is true about what they are saying, and it is truly a mix of what made the originals good and what made Fallout 3 good, then I can see it becoming my favorite Fallout game. I am trying to stray away from this thinking so I'm not disappointed, but it's hard, because I have pretty much welcomed every single thing showcased about the game with open arms.

This. Almost everything I've seen looks really good with the exception of how DT works, (fortunately easily fixed with mods), but there's no way to know how good the game is until it's actually in my grasping pseudopods.

I will say that I'm looking forward to it.

I'd say it's more of a follow up to Fallout 2 rather than the original. It'll be more on the goofy side I'm sure.

I could be wrong, but it looks like a video game.

Better intentionally goofy than unintentionally goofy like FO3, no?

I voted very good because thats what im expecting it to be. Even if its on par with Fallout 3 ill be very satisfied. This is based on what I know about the game so far though. It could still turn out to be a bad game but im really not expecting it.

My only disappointment so far is that its looking like Slots, Roulette and Blackjack are going to be the only Casino games.

If there was a Best Fallout Game Ever!!! option, I would have chosen that. I chose very good since "true follow up" does it no justice.

Everything I've seen makes it seem like it will be good. From what I've seen, it will be a better RPG than Fallout 3 was, which is welcome. Still, I'm going to have to wait until I play it to judge it completely. It needs to totally nail the open world, and be on par with what Bethesda has created with the TES series and Fallout 3. What made me fall in love with Fallout 3 was it's world and if New Vegas doesn't do it right, it's going to be a huge negative for me.

Well to explain why I just think it's "nice".

Play fallout 1 and 2, look at how the people are dressed, look how towns are built up, look at the arcitechture(???), listen to the soundtrack, take note of the serious dialogue.
Something about them is just so "Wow!".
From what I've seen it looks really nice but not anything like fallout 1 and 2.
It's better in some aspects than the originals but don't live up to some.
So for it to be a perfect fallout game it needs to nail all 5 fallout games and be perfect in every aspect.
Which is the reason for it only being"nice" IMO.

I wouldn't be too sure of that; the developers of Fallout 2 admitted that the over abundance of humor and goofiness was a mistake. Some of these guys are at Obsidian now, so I doubt they'd make the same mistake twice. There will be some goofy humor no doubt, but I wouldn't be expecting it on the same level as Fallout 2 or even Fallout 3. In fact from what we've seen so far (it's a little hard to judge since we've mostly seen just combat screenshots and videos which aren't particularly enlightening) New Vegas seems like it's going to be pretty dark.

I would say Stellar, but that last part made me say 'Sounds like one of those F1 F2 obsixrs would say', so I only picked very good.
