I'll be honest. Bland. Mods are there to give life. See Tropical Skyrim to see what I mean. Oh, and Dovahbear.

I love Skyrim without mods. Each to their own...

I can enjoy Skyrim just fine without mods. I need to use mods to make Oblivion bearable, but not Skyrim or Morrowind.

I played the game pretty much mod free for about 100 hours. I see no reason to go back to a mod-free Skyrim, but I certainly did enjoy it.

I initially avoided mods, for fear of crashes, errors and whatnot (it's basically what marked the very end of my Morrowind career).

Then i gradually started trying a few and my Skyrim experience greatly improved.
I don't have many tho, like 20 or so, and i still limit myself to mods that just add elements. No messing with the script.

Upgrading to Dragonborn gave me no problems.

Fairly good. Nothing major added to it, really. Simple body replacer with vanilla armor support, and True Bound Armor. And the Space Core mod.

Morrowind, Oblivion? Lots more. Morrowind is mostly new equipment, with The Underground and Sotha Sil Expanded placed in. Oblivion has... lots more. Spell de-leveler, added in enemy caps, Darker Dungeons, etc.

Two words.
Totally awesome.
I have 894 hours without mods, just official DLC and patches.

Mods can and do add a lot to the gaming experience.
I don't use mods in Skyrim but don't begrudge or look down upon people who do.
I have an unofficial mod in Morrowind, removes all cliff racers.
The plain vanilla game and offical patches is quite a lot of sweet content and things to see and do.
The official DLC just adds more awesomeness, but in my opinion vanilla Skyrim stands well on it's own.

Do you sometimes end up feeling bit tad alone in this game?
Would be nice to share the experience with just 1 player more.

I played around 200 hours and finished the MQ without mods. Still have the 'clean' save from Helgen.

Now I use about 25 mods, mainly for the interface, unofficial patches and additional weapons / armor / creatures.

Might add a new companion or two and a conversion mod like SkyRe after the kerfuffle with the 1.9 patch settles down.

It's still an incredible game. Mods simply polish it off and add a few more goodies.

Without mods, Skyrim would be largely 'meh'.

I play on PS3, so I have no access to mods. One thing I wish for would be a removal of dragons after the MQ. I'm doing a character that stops the MQ after arriving in Riverwood for the first time, so dragons don't spawn. I have found the game to be much improved without constant dragon attacks. I miss out on shouts and a questline, but it's worth it, imo.

I personally went 75h not knowing what the heck mods even were. Most games I played (not much) could not be modded. I ended up with a glitch. Someone directed me to Nexus for a fix. I saw these mods and only installed a glowing mining rocks mod and played for another 30h. More bugs and I got the unofficial Patches, and looked up on reddit on that mods I should use. Fast forward 4 months and now I have 205 data files with still a stable game.

I see mods as something that make a good game better. I enjoyed playing Skyrim before downloading any mods. Now I have a lot of mods. Of course I like it better modded than unmodded, because I've customized it to be more like the way I want it. I don't think it's perfect now, and I didn't think it was bad before. But customizing the game is part of the fun.

I enjoyed a completely unmodded Skyrim (on PS3) for several hundreds of hours, and now I enjoy a modded Skyrim on PC. :)

The one thing I really, really missed before was the bugfuxes the unofficial patches provides. Then some other mods fix other little things that has bothered me, like timescale, better interaction with followers, fewer generic greetings, fewer forced quests and so on, and I'll probably never take those mods away, but I managed without them.

I hate mods, especially ENB. all they do is ruin your game. i've seen people inject mods to their game to the point where you wont even recognize that this is Skyrim. anything that isn't official isn't worth my time.

Not too bad.

I only use few armor mods, one that adds hairstyles and one that reduces loadscreens.
e: Oh, and one that shuts Serana up. I might bother doing Dawnguard on my current character after getting that :)

I play it purely on Console, because financial situation doesn't really give me the wiggle room to buy it for PC and all the addons twice. So the unmodded, pure as driven snow version of Skyrim has been all I've had. And so far, I've been content. Which is all I can ask of my video games.

Perfectly fine, considering I don't have access to them on PS3. If I had access to them I would use them, but I still have fun without them. I like the idea of the clothing and armor mods.

When I am on My older laptop playing the Beta, I really miss the convenience of many of the Mods I use. I miss higher resolution textures, clean characters in clean clothing, realistic scenic views. I miss being able to place the items that are wieghing My charcter down into a Bag Of Holding, I really miss having NPC's who do not commit suicide by Dragon or Vampire. I miss walking into Whiterun without loading screens. I do not have to join a Guild to have access to a Word Wall placed in a faction locked Dungeon.
I played Skyrim without Mods for a few months and really enjoyed the experience, but I prefer a modded game.
