Maybe they could add Diet Nuka Cola in an upcoming DLC :-D

Diet Nuka-Cola is actually mentioned once in FO1.

Nuka-Cola tastes like cheap RC Cola and Dr. Pepper mixed. Believe me, I've had it.

Well, Beth made a promotional, drinkable Nuka-Cola when they were still working on FO3... and from the sounds of it, MAD-MAX may have somehow gotten his hands on one...

Nuka-Cola would taste like radiation and awesome, of course. And we all know 'radiation' tastes like delicious candy. Which is why when they first discovered Radium, they sold it in tonics!

Dunno, but I am pretty sure it would be flat by the time I get my hands on one.

Oh my! It's like a tidal wave of flavor washing all over your body!
Your head spins but everything is clear at the same time. It is quite a rush.

Personally, I think it'd taste like burning.

Yeah, I always envisioned something like Dr. Pepper (just because of the sugar content.)

Nuka Quantum looks to me like it'd taste like one of the blue cheap freezee pops (which taste like nothing at all so much as "blue"-flavored) but heavily carbonated. :)

I figured Nuka-Cola would taste like a mix of Jones Cola and Dr. Pepper or something. Quantum would taste like Pepsi blue.

coca cola, with the taste, but it lingers longer and lightly stings the back of your throat, as the cool refreshing liquid coats your throat and travels down your trachea, you feel it deep inside your stomach, it swirls and fills you with everything that is good.

aaah nuka cola

I think it tastes like a mixture of Dr. Pepper, drain cleaner, fruit, and death.
Just a guess.

Flat, warm, radiated, and filled with dirt.

But PRE-WAR it would be the same as coca-cola, but better, because anything in a glass bottle is WAY better.

Nuka-Cola tastes like Coca-Cola with a slight metallic aftertaste from the radiation used to preserve the flavor and possibly the carbonation, so they might not be flat after all.

I was wondering around Fallout 3 and got to wondering what nuka cola tastes like.
i am thinking it more then likely falls close to Coke or Pepsi but with a hint of strong burning lime (from the radiation obviously, looks like it would taste like that lol)

Hmmm good question!

I don't know if there have been any, "Taste Tests" with radioactive isotopes, but I would have to imagine that most nuclear material would have a Metallic-taste (as most other metals do), and would probably leave that special, glowing, metallic after-taste that would make your gums glow. Actually I think the Look of a NukaCola drinker would be much more amusing, as the isotope would penetrate the gums at a different rate than the teeth - so we would either have glowing teeth that seem to, "float" in our mouths or glowing gums that would make us look like a failed-glowing-one. ;)

Like regular coke probably, but it'd hurt when you drink it like when you keep diet coke in your mouth too long and it starts burning. It'd be awesome. It'd probably be caustic. I'd drink it.

You would properbly get a blast of energy or get VERY drunk or high or even hallucinate of all that radiation going straight to the brain.

But I think it might taste like the cola we know today, with a very sour lemon-like tase

I think it's pretty clear that Nuka Cola is meant to be a trademark-safe version of Coca Cola, an archetypical American drink, especially in the 40s and 50s. Even the logos are similar (though the blue bottles in the earlier games are a bit odd, a bit more Pepsi-ish). According to wikipedia, what most of us think of as "cola flavor" is mostly vanilla and cinnamon, with hints of others (citrus fruits like orange, lime and lemon are common; I'd add a little pomegranate, what with the mention of a shortage.)

For Quantum, all bets are off. I'm inclined to what others have said about Red Bull, though; I recently tried some for the first time ever and my main impression was "aggressively chemical and citrusy - like a safety-orange graqefruit grown in a lab, in a box that leaves it shaped like a cube. Sticks with you for a while, too."

Coca-Cola, with slightly less caffeine and sugar as power drinks. As for Nuka-Quantum, double the caffeine, sugar, and a slight radioactive flavor for Nuka-Cola, and tasting with some mountain dew
