Booty, from those quotes I still say Falmer. Lady Nerevar definitely has a strong grasp of lore, he made the first clever comment after she came up with Falmer, he made the second one with "some" after it started gaining steam and I started feeding in wild speculations. And it definitely has the strongest lore-based support as an idea.

Definitely hair. It's in a cone shape above his ears and kinda looks like a horn, but there's some on the very top of his head too, where a horn wouldn't be.

I'm withdrawing from the Falmer camp and going with the safer bet that this is some type of lesser Daedra. I like the idea of it being one of Hermaeus Mora's lackeys, but its resemblance to the Morphoid---accounting for the level of aestetic change that has been present in all creatures since Battlespire---is strong enough to render that guess some merit.

If we're trying to use lore knowledge to determine which theory is correct, I'd say linking to a book about Skyrim-specific vampires requires more knowledge than knowing what elves lived where. I would also say its more clever - I'm honestly surprised that it took a whole thread for Falmer to come up.

The thing about the vampire book is a good point Lady, but hadn't Bethesda already revealed that there would be ice vampires before this?
