What do you think the mystery picture is?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:46 am

Not necesarily. Thats based on a Skaal myth that Reiklings are descendants of Falmer. That myth is contradicted by other myths. So while they could theoretically be blue, its far from definitive.

There's some debate over that but http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Falmer say their skin color is an ice blue. Scamp http://www.hivemindllc.com/yahoo_site_admin/assets/images/DBR_Splash.194150445_large.png

I think it's a mammoth. But my best bet is that it's a horker.

Are we only discussing one of the mystery pictures, because there's a few now?

Well the label for the picture is "Spider Hero", so it may be some spider cultist. You can tell the thing is wearing armor made out of a frost spider, so that seems to be a possible armor type. To me, it seems to be a goblin with it on but that's just a guess.

Alright new theory, going off the rails here.

If you look closely his helmet has parts that look like crab or lobster claws, and the armor's shape and style reminds me of shells and coral reefs minus the color.

The second picture with the wizened, unarmored version of the same creature/person makes me think that the thing is a Daedra of wisdom or knowledge.

Sooo..... I say it just might be a new Daedra assigned to Lord Hermaeus Mora!

Nah, if it's a Daedra, it might be in the works of Vaermina.

Why would Vaernima have Daedra with sea themed ornamented armor?

I think it's very plausible for this thing to be related in one way or another with Hermaeus Mora.

one of them appeared in the screenshot section on the elderscrolls site but wouldn't load the full image, and someone found the others when they went through the page source or something on the media page.

The UESP is not the be-all end-all of lore. Its edited by anyone who has the time to do so, and because of this can include false information accidentally (an editor not knowing any better) or purposefully (an editor trying to incorporate his own personal opinion). I agree that the blue-skinned Falmer is the prevailing theory, but thats because its the only popular theory, not because its written on UESP.

Well It appears to be some sort of elf because of the pointy ears so it could be falmer but it could also be a scamp or goblin or possibly even a wood elf. I voted for falmer though because that would be cool.

I voted Falmer... but its a little too ugly for an elf, isn't it? I mean, none of the other mer even come close to this level of bizarre. Even Orcs don't look this... otherworldly...

The armor goes against everything that Dwemer design stands for. Steampunk, rusty brown, heavy, industrial.

They no longer exist in the corporeal plane. And their armor was different, they had beards, and their noses weren't that weird.

Somebody needs to go back, see when only one person was saying something when Vsions said "one person has got it" I forget which thread that was on though...... and then see what thing more people were thinking now like Vsions said.... it would at least maybe narrow it down.

Falmer. I suggested it early in thread 2, prior to vsion's posting. Now its gained a large following. I believe several people supported vampires earlier, though I'm not sure. I should probably go to sleep, I'm getting a bit too caught up in this.

I-I know.

They're just theories...

Sorry if I came off as rude, t'wasn't meant that way.
