What do you use to merge leveled lists?

Wrye Mash or TES3cmd? What are the pros and cons of each? Is one better than the other?

I just finished building a load order for a modded play through. I have a little more play testing to do but the last thing I need to decide is whether to keep the leveled list esp that TES3cmd added after I used the Fixit command that Yacoby added to Wrye Mash, or whether to delete it and build a Mashed List file instead.

Any suggestions?

I personally like Tes3cmd and it's multipatch feature because it addresses a couple more issues than just leveled list merging.

I don't mind running mlox again. That just takes a second and I have not had any issues with mods trying to load before the official esm files like the poster in that thread you linked. Although I did have an issue with mlox not recognizing the latest version of the unofficial Morrowind Patch. But I just wrote a user rule to take care of that.

I ran fixit because I had just installed about 100 mods over the past week and I wanted to make sure everything was clean without having to go through the trouble of hand cleaning 100 files. Plus it's just a one click operation with the integrated Wrye Mash.

But in the future for changes to load order, the multi patch command would be the way to go. Would it work to write a simple bat file that would sit in my data files directory with TES3cmd and regenerate the multi patch with the click of a mouse?

Sure, I suggest you also log changes to a text file instead of console output, e.g.
tes3cmd.exe multipatch > out.txtout.txt
