As others have said, the sudden, inexplicable teleporatation of Cyrodil into Middle-Earth easily takes the cake. They took one look at the lore, and were like "Hey, that Lord of the Rings stuff, that was pretty popular, right? What if we, like, made it like that, instead? I mean that way we could probably trick LOTR fans into buying it and make way more money!"
Yes, I'm sure that was their reasoning. Nothing to do with graphics or engine limitations at all.
I would like to see Mazoga erased. Are you the count? *SLICE SLICE STAB*
This I can happily agree with. I thoroughly enjoy wiping her out of existance on ever character, as soon as she's done helping me get a new house.
I wouldn't erase a thing. I never got why people only talk about the things they don't like, I had to part from the Star Wars community for that. I mean, it's there, it happened. Why not just think about the things you liked about it? Guess everybody is a critic these days, though. Ah well..... :tes:
Truth. I also stopped interacting with the star wars community because of those reasons, save for my guild on SWG.
I don't get why people don't want argonians to invade Morrowind? If my people hade been treated like [censored] for the past three eras by some stuck-up elves with their so-called gods, but then their homeland suddenly erupted, I would attack in the blink of an eye.
Because it doesn't make sense. Every time and Argonian army has gathered in TES History they've been utterly and completely curshed. It makes no sense for an army of Argonians to all of a sudden steam roll the Dunmer. Just doesn't make sense.
The Argonian invasion actually has lore evidence. In Lord of Souls, an Argonian character says that in times of hardship, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Hist can make Argonians significantly stronger. It can change the entire shape of an Argonian if necessary.
I imagine the Hist had some involvement in the Argonian takeover of Morrowind. And I assume it will be mentioned in Skyrim, anyways, so it will be difficult to completely ignore.
Indeed, they where also organised under the rule of the An-Xileel, who in turn where slaves to a Hist tree gone rogue. With their bodies still probably altered from the Hist in the oblivion crisis, more adept to combat, and new organisation it wouldn't take much to finish off the crippled Dunmer and drive them out -- hell, there probably wasn't even that many left to drive out after most of the survivors made their way to Sostheim/Cyrodil and Skyrim. Plus the great houses had been mostly abadoned after they each failed to protect their nation from disaster and thus most millitary forces (such as those from Redoran and Andarys and Indoril) had been a little more than disorganised. I don't see it as unreasonable that the Argonians could have pushed them out.
...am I the only one who actually enjoyed the Infernal City?
I mean, I'm not a total lore nerd, so that might affect it...
I really enjoyed both the Infernal City and Lord of Souls actually, I'd love a continued expansion of TES novels. Look at how many star wars novels there are? It could only help strengthen the backstory of the series. Plus Greg Keyes did an awesome job working with the lore and history of TES.
