Who are those Nord fans?
I know there are some who like to play as Promokiin, not "so many".
M'aiq is made up of steel. He is incredibly powerful and cannot be harmed in any way.
Steel is too weak a substance. M'aiq can still be melted. And if M'aiq fell over, M'aiq might get turtled....
You know too much... *does the Black Sacrament*
It's kinda obvious who the devs are biased to in Skyrim, given Ulfric saying any nord can learn the thu'um, sovngarde and even the dunmer in the beginning of the game asking you if you "hate the dark elves" too, and Brunwulf saying are you one of those Skyrim is for the Nords types.... No one's promoting "boringkiin" except Bethesda.
Honestly, I blame the marketing. This is the first game that really overdid the poster character thing.
I'd say it's more laziness than bias. The series has a long track record to show for that. Not to mention those examples aside from Brunwulf are stretching it a bit.
*casts Dead Thrall*... A steel undead khajiit corpse could have its uses....
Yeah, btw, I lead the Dark Brotherhood, those assassins worked for me...
M'aiq shall teleport back to M'aiq's Realm of Skooma and Sweetrolls...
Damn, the one thing I didn't think of....
Very interesting to know.
While yes Tamriel shouts are magical in nature, it is still very interesting to see a comparison of what that would be in our own scientific, non magical world.
Wait, so Ulfric used magic, even if it was Nord magic, to kill Torygg? Thu'um or not, it is magic. And he did not use it to kill him, just knock him to the ground. So, Ulfric is a Milk-Drinker that has to use magic to win a fight. All bark and no bite that one. Talks a big game, but in the end, he couldn't kill a "boy" without knocking him to the ground first using his unfair advantage of being a master of the ancinet Nord magic art of the Thu'um. Wow, just wow.
Ulfric could have killed Torygg while blindfolded and no Thu'um.
Err... You're just hating man :/ Ulfric is awesome.
I'm not a massive fan of Ulfric, but just because he used the Thu'um (allegedly) to defeat Torygg didn't mean that he couldn't have done it without the Thu'um. It's possible he was even doing it out of some sense of honour toward the boy (give him a quick death rather than a humiliating defeat..?)
I didn't say it was being promoted as canon. Quit getting so butthurt.
I said they were showing bias.
There's also no real proof anyone not dragonborn or an avatar of a god can thu'um.
That's what they say about MK, and what they said about the prophet in Knights of the Nine.
As for your comment on the thu'um, that's YOUR fan theory. I have my own. So far, "anyone can learn the thu'um, I.E. the power of the Nord's vital essence described in Children of the Sky", is still unproven.
The devs would agree with your assessment:

Read the red.
Yea, except his abnormal height, abnormal power, and thu'uming when the only people who know it are the greybeards, Ulfric and you. He pretty much fell out of the sky.
This guy's just some powerful mortal with power equal to a demigod? BS. They've got videos of this dude taking out every "boss npc" in the game, including Miraak. I know gameplay isn't lore, but still. Really?
