What is your biggest gaming confession?

Post » Mon Apr 04, 2016 8:25 am

Similar to the "What is your biggest Skyrim Confession" thread, but opened up to all games, across all times, all consoles, etc.

My biggest gaming confession is that I love playing Wii Sports Baseball

26% game completion rate on steam... Probably reflects my physical game collection too

I have two:

1. I only started playing yesterday.

2. Sometimes I exaggerate a bit when it comes to gaming.

I still have not beaten Skyrim..... Like at all. None of the factions or the MQ and I've had it since 11/11/11

I guess I could confess I never really got into FO4. Rushed thru the main quest just to get over with it, never really felt motivated to explore and do side quests like with the earlier Bethesda games.

Then again, ever since I played FO3 like crazy back when it was released, I've been so sick and tired of the post-apocalyptic setting, and pretty much just avoid it, be it games, movies, whatever.

I played Wii U Sports Baseball for the first time about a month ago against my father, we both were surprised how much fun it was. For years we pretty much just been playing bowling or golf whenever we play against eachother :P

Wouldn't be surprised if that's my game completion rate on Steam too. That said, my physical games and my console games should be noticeably higher, closer to 60% or something.

I...I buy games on Steam sales that I never play. I have about 16 games that remain unplayed....shh.

I'm also a save scum kinda guy. Bethesda's games taught me that bugs could be waiting around any corner, so it's best to save every 4 minutes.

Me too. I get through x com with only like 5 guys dying, would have been more like 50, but I shanelessly save scum. I'm not letting Arnold Schwarzenegger die because he missed a 90% chance shot!

Right there with you. :)

....I used to make backup saves in Moria & Angband. So I could recover from deaths. :nono:

Don't get me started on my backlog. Or my alternate Steam account, for games that I'm embarrassed to be seen owning/playing by my friend's list. :P

I buy games and never get around to playing them. I cannot get into FO4. I like to give my characiers siily name, the one I am most proud of is, Vlad the Impala.

I prefer to try to beat games rather than carry out their quests.

I am far to conservative when it comes to using my consumables..

I always have some sort of really powerful items in my inventory, but I keep saying to myself "this seems like a decent place to use it.. but there is probably going to be a harder part up ahead so i'll save it".. as a result, once the credit screen hits i start screaming "damn it, i never used that item!"

I can't play bad guys. I create a character that I intend to be villainous and he either turns into a hero or I lose interest in playing him because I simply don't like him. But, I'm the same way with TV shows. The modern trend of centering TV shows around dubious characters is somewhat annoying to me.

I can't get into the story as I play late night and it puts me to sleep. The same applies to shows and movies that don't have an engaging story (which most video games don't) so I end up passing out on the couch. I tend to speed read through dialogue just to get a basic understanding of what's going on.

ha I have the same problem. I always end up with a full stock of potions and whatnot at the end of the game that I should be using throughout. I can't remember which games had a unique usable item but I remember obtaining said item and never using it.

Now there's an idea.

Then again, my most embrassing games are Hyperdimension Neptuinia's, and i haven't exactly kept them a secret. Though i wouldn't go buying them as physical copies :lmao:

If my ex could see me now! Lol

I actually broke up with a chick when the Last of Us came out. She kept calling, and I told her I was working late. She just wanted to party, and I just wanted to kill zombies in one of those immersive games I've ever played. Then she thought I was cheating on her until I told her the truth.

I had the same problem with Skyrim -- phone off for two weeks. I might need to see someone about my life decisions lol.

Nonsense, good sir. I'm an Orc, and I don't have to go to anyone about my life choices.
