Whether your character is resistance or security, scottish or australian, they have to have a story. My character, a medium soldier born on the ARK, angrily threw himself into the war when it took his parents. Angry at security for not doing their job to defend civilians in the wars they had started, he joined the resistance, where his shotgun could solve all his problems. Now go, tell us your motivation.

I have no personal story. I like to go to the Refugee Journal Game for my fix. I think it kind of tells the story I want my character to have experienced.

My guy planted a nuke in his head and wants to run into the ark and blow it up and ran candies out of his blown up head.

It's funny because I remember having this discussion last year before it was postponed and I had this massive back-story involving my character showing up on a large war vessel alone claiming that a rogue wave swept everyone on board off the boat. With 10 character slots I can make an operative, engineer, soldier and medic for both factions, 10 different origin stories. It's odd because this is one of the few MMO-FPS's that has an genuinely interesting story to it.

My character is part of the Resistance. He is an Ex-Security official who caught wind of what the Security was trying to do with the people of The Ark. Now he is fighting for the good of the people instead of the needs of the few.

Thanks, I'm making a full backstory and I'm gonna post it sometime this week.

My character was put into hyper sleep as a secret experiment performed by a ex-government scientist. The government didn't approve of the experiment, so the scientist branched off and preformed it on a bunch of random people. When my character woke up it was 23 years later. He is on the ARK, and everything he once knew is gone.

Don't care too much about my character's backstory, but feel free to tell me yours while I shoot you with the Gottlung.

I kid, it's just that you really wanna make an impact on the PRESENT of Brink, not it's past.

So basically my character was born in the UK and the island overflood so I had to swim to the Ark. I lived with the resistance from there on, sneak my way into the upper levels of the Ark, steal from the rich and hand it out to the poor, the female poor, and thus score all the chicks.

My character, Tommy Bozzer is a former security guard but he gave information to a father of two as the security where coming to take him away. Tommy was ratted out, dragged away and beaten. He escaped using nothing more than a screwdriver and some bandages. Now getting on in years, he still tries to help out the resistance in any way he can, usually in engineering.

Poor little Jimmy had no brains, but muscles, and he knew how to use em. One day his father, who worked for the security of the Ark, (He was a good cop, really) got killed in a terrorist attack by the men of the resistance. So from that day on, little Jimmy (even tough he was a heavy body type) swore revenge for his father, and that he would kill many many terrorists. That was the reason why he joined the security. People quickly saw the potential he had in him, hoisting up those heavy machien guns like it was nothin'. But they also saw he was a little ... slow, not only by walking, but also mentaly.
Either way, he quickly started making good friends inside the squad they put him in. Nobody ever made a joke about him or his mental weakness. He might be a hulk, but his weakness were his feelings, you could hurt them oh so easily. But his they were also the reason which made the bond between him and his friends inside the team only stronger. When someone of his squad mates was in peril, he fought like a roaring beast only to protect them, pulling all the enemys attention and harm on himself. Poor Jimmy allways got hurt, but everyone thanked and liked him very much, for what he did, and for who he was.

Jonathan, born to Irish parents, has always been the fastest and most agile of the group. He's had a hard life, which was his reason for joining the resistance, to fight those whom had made it hard for him.

well he started off as an orphan in phoenix. His parents went to the ark but never came back. so he was forced to learn how to use guns and knives(expecially knives) and became a small time theif saving up money so he could go to the ark and find his parents. eventually he makes it there and joins the resistance after learning that his mom and dad died when they helped the resistance. so now he fights for freedom and equality. (and heck he also does it for fun)
