What is your Character's Class

Post » Wed Feb 03, 2010 11:33 am

Just curious to see what other people who role play their character choose to have their character wear when walking around town. My character wears middle class stuff: light brown linens, brown shirt and thick cowhide shoes. I know its what the blades characters wear but I like how it looks.

Doesn't really apply to my current character as I wear mage robes in town. Generally, I like light brown linens, plaid shirt, and doeskin shoes. Is that middle class?

I usually walk around in armor. If I do decide to go roleplaying with it though I usually go in a mix between middle class and upper class. Not too elaborate but not too generic either. :)

Dunno I guess I'd say middle class unless you wear the fancy mage robes.

My current character is a member of the minor Altmer nobility, so I would definitely think of him as "Upper Class." He wasn't quite as arrogant when he left the sewers, but now that he has acquired his own castle, he is almost unbearable.

edit - He wears the black looking outfit thing, not sure what its called right off hand, but its fancy looking.

Black and Burgundy outfit. Ya my character has a few nice houses but he's just another Breton, doesn't want to be all high up like the upper class but isn't poor like the lower class.

I walk around in Sack clothes, maybe steal a stitched green shirt. I like that gruff look, noble dress is to fancy for my tastes.

Buffy is a native of Bravil and was orphaned by the age of 12. She came from the same class as City Swimmer.

She has worked her way into the guild of mages and even graduated from the Arcane University now. As you know, to anyone with magic ability, there is really no reason to be poor.

In fact, her guild mate, Delphind Jend even coaxed her into a blue velvet gown for Buffy's graduation party. http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Acadian6/Cho%20Bk%201/ScreenShot637.jpg

Since then, she has developed quite the taste for clothes. That said, she is extremely conscious of her surroundings and the image she wishes to portray. Therefore, she will change clothes, often up to a dozen times a day, to suit her purpose. In other words, she generally dresses to match her surroundings, whether it be in a dungeon, visiting friends on the Waterfront or the court of a noble:

Buffy must take a while during her day changing then. And I assume she slays vampires?

My avatar, Hrol, is a native of Skyrim, so he considers Cyrodiil a tropical getaway, and is a middle-class blacksmith, he mainly wears blacksmithing attire, but when not working he swaps out his apron and leather blacksmithing pants for a nice Blue & Green outfit, and on special occasions will where Burgundy Linens and shirt with a pair of Doeskin shoes

There needs to be multiple choice on this one. Got different characters. Some started out as serfs (poor) while others would have started out as supposed to be middle class. They all wind up with lots of money, though.

I'm actually playing a character that started off upper-class, but, after some poor financial decisions, is now lower-class. She's having a tough time coping with that.

1. She is pretty quick at changing outfits. Even in public, she justs casts an invis spell, switches clothes and reappears. The downside is that her limited inventory is stuffed with clothes, so the only loot she normally picks up is gold coins and arrows. But as I said, since she know some magic, making money is easy. :P

2. Her name derives from several factors:
- As a small child, no one could keep clothes on her - she tended to run around 'in the buff'. Even now, waterfalls are a problem. They make her clothes fall off.
- Alliteration - Buffy the Blond Bravilian Bosmer Bowgirl.
- I figured a non TES name would keep me from taking her too seriously - I was wrong on that.
- And. . . yes, she does indeed have an instinctive dislike for vampires. It seems she was chosen by Azura as a Child of Dawn (Slayer). 'Tis but a small aspect of who she is.

Osmundas Hlaalu is soooooo upper class we peasants can't see him up there.

Ash'kali has no class she is an aspiring champion of her lost clan, that is all she wishes to be.

Nah, she got swindled by a Khajiit she met near Cheydinhal. At least, that's what I'm roleplaying happened. In reality, I had her buy a house, in order to get rid of all her money.

She has yet to enter the castle of Skingrad, but when she passes by it, she definitely senses the presence of vampires. She assumes there are perhaps catacombs under the castle where such beasts wander - sort of like under parts of the Imperial City. Unfortunately, vampires can sense her as well, so she prefers to give them a wide berth. Even though Azura chose her as a Slayer, it is a role she does not relish or seek to fulfill. In fact, she rather considers it a curse.

My argonian is definitely lower class. She walks around in her undies. Nothing makes her happier than running along the beaches on a rainy day.

She's not doing anything. She was born into luxary, never had to work a day in her life, so she doesn't even know how to start. So she's just wandering around Bravil (She went there after deciding she was "unworthy" to stay in any nice city), crying and yelling at everyone that tries to talk to her. I'm planning on her using her undeveloped magic skills to work her way back up the social ladder, though.

I'm glad someone else feels that way about rain. My character used to put on a robe and hood when it rained - ugh. Finally, she decided to just embrace the rain. Now, when it rains, she just puts on some roman sandals, a halter top and a loincloth and utility belt. As long as it is not too cold it feels wonderful. After all, she figures she's waterproof and has a drain hole anyway. :twirl:

I'm surprised that she hasn't take to a life of thievery or murder as thats often what people from high classes do when their life gets destroyed. My character started in the Arena and then got into the Dark Brotherhood after helping out the Gray Prince and got out after getting Shadowmere and is currently roaming around Cyrodiil doing good things for the empire.

Currently active character is a mage who suffers from a curse, making it impossible to equip any item that has not been freely given. She's wearing prison sack cloth, except for a nice enchanted cuirass given to her for helping a friend retake his city.
