I figured since a thread like this was in FO3, why not one here?

After saving Keely and giving the data to the NCR, ED-E reminded me we had a task to complete for the workers at Sloan. I asked Veronica if she was up for some Deathclaw hunting, and she stroked her Ballistic Fist and simply smiled at me.

Off to Sloan we went.

I asked ED-E to be more aggressive, due to its recent upgrade in weaponry. This would be used to lure out the creatures, while Veronica and I played backup. Although I had the AMR, I decided to stick with my hunting rifle, using AP rounds for the assault. Poor things didn't stand a chance. Watching Veronica go head-to-head with the Alpha male was a memory. She didn't need any help at all. Darn it, too, because she spotted it before I did. At least I got to take out the mother.

As we walked near the top ridge, ED-E spotted what looked like a few Fiends and opened fire. Veronica followed up and cleared the other two, only to discover they were actually Khans. Not sure why they attacked us first, but I had to scold them both and told them we're on good terms with the Khans. Veronica's defense was noted, considering they did fire on us first. Hopefully, we're still on good terms with them, but if not, they drew first blood.

We crested a small ridge to the back side of the quarry only to clear a few more Deathclaws. Aren't they so cute then they literally run into the line of fire? I mean, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Note to self: need to stock up on more AP ammo for the rifle.

We headed back through Sloan and decided to raid the correctional facility. Powder Gangers are just annoying sods, so off the planet they went. We spared the cowboy. Very nice fellow. Wish I could talk to the NCR and have him pardoned.

After we left, Veronica reminded me we had some tech to go after, and asked if we could get to Vault 34 and retrieve it. I said, "Sure. Nothing better to do." It didn't take us long to clear the place out and we really, really loved looting that armory. Veronica wasn't impressed with the little ray gun we found, but said we needed to head back to the BoS and try to convince McNamara to stop being idle.

We stopped at the 188 and traded weapons for ammo. I'm now carrying over 7000 rounds of 10mm, 2000 rounds of .302, and have 500+ rounds of .302 AP. Deathclaws won't be a problem anymore.

After a short trek, we finally made it back to our temporary home in Novac. I dumped my AMR into the closet, no longer needing it (first time I bought a weapon and never fired it). It's nostalgic, so I can't see myself parting with it.

After some food, a little entertainment, and some minor cleanup of Deathclaw blood from ED-E, we finally went to sleep. When we wake, we're off to the Bos. I hear there's a rogue unit to watch out for, so we'll have to be on guard. Veronica's still deciding if she wants to stay or leave for the Fellowship. Maybe I'll assist in her decision. Time will tell.
