What's your current characters name and why?

What's your current characters name and why have you decided to call your character that way instead of another. You might have a special reason, or you just found the name beautiful, that's also an option! Ghehe.

My Dunmer is called Rythe Arano. His name is just a mash of Rythe Llythandas (or however you spell it :P) and the Arano family.
My Khajiit is called Dar-R' Jaar. Dar means thief, or wise in the Khajiit native tongue, and R means great. Jaar is just a general Khajiiti sounding name, and I like the sound of it.
My Imperial is called Abel Engarth, just a general Imperial Guardish sounding name, because Abel is an Imperial guard.

When naming my characters, I don't really name them something for a special reason, mainly just RP purposes (like with Dar-R'Jaar, he's a thief), or something that sounds nice and appropriate.

My character (who I really like and is now my 'official character for all TES games) is calle Daza and he's an argonian.
I chose Daza because I think it sounds suitable and when I look at him I think "yes, he looks like a Daza"

Helena Aurelie. I like this name because one, I think Helena is an incredibly pretty name, it's a recurring theme in Kamelot's music, who I was listening to alot when I fleshed her out. Aurelie? I dunno. I just liked the sound of it.

Chani Belavyn. Chani is (some of you sci-fi lovers might have already spotted it) from Dune, one of my favourite series ever. Belavyn came up on the Silgrad Tower namegen and I thought it fitted perfectly.

Aralin Hlerayn. I came up with this name all on my own when I first started roleplaying in Morrowind, now whenever I use one of the TES name gens for Dunmer, Aralin Hlerayn comes up, haha.

My Imperial Blade's name is Lurius Marillin, Lurius because he is good and Lurius sounds a bit like 'light', and Marillin because I'm pretty sure there is already a family called Marillin inagem :/

My currents character's name is Elberond, a Bosmer name I got from the http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/index.php?p=modding_data%2Fngen&race=D_ELF&gender=male&count=10 I chose that particular name because it sounds a lot like 'Elrond', a character from Lord of the Rings. I always liked the name 'Elrond' and was delighted to find one similar for a Bosmer.

One of my Altmer mages is named Kelendiil. I chose that one because it seems elven and sounds like Elendil, another Lord of the Rings character.

My female Bosmer Assassin is named Drehdwyn. It's a combination of Drehd (because pronounced like Dread) and wyn (because that is a fairly common ending in Bosmer names).

Buffy's name is. . . complicated. There are several influences and forces at work:

1. Alliteration. Buffy the blond Bravilian Bosmeri bowgirl. We much preferred the sound of Buffy to, say, Bambi or Barbie.

2. As a child, her parents had difficulty keeping clothes on her. She was always running around 'in the buff', as it were. Water seemed to make matters worse. In fact she was nearly thirteen before the red-face protests of her archery master, Daenlin, finally convinced her to be more discrete and not drop her clothes to go swimming in every stream they encountered while hunting. To this day, she pleads guilty to the refrain, 'Water makes her clothes fall off' - particularly near any waterfall. :twirl:

3. At the precise moment of sunrise that marked her birth, Buffy was touched by Azura's hand of fate as a Child of Dawn. Although she does not embrace the role, she is indeed one of few women with special abilities to help kill vampires. She is a Slayer, and her bow is so named.

4. In naming Buffy, I felt the name would be rather tongue-in-cheek and prevent me from taking her too seriously. In that regard. . . I fear I have failed miserably.

Melissa. I like the name and I have very bad imagination.

Previously I had a high elf mage named Elenwen, a name I couldn't remember where it came from which simply popped up in my head one day. It got a bit awkward when I went back to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Dun-Ahhe

I think J'Ram-Ku sounds great and very Argonian.

Some of them are named after quirks they may have like City Swimmer or Hauls Ropes Faster or Lifts Her Tail. Unless you fancy something like Burns His Hands for your mage, I would stay with J'Ram-Ku. :goodjob:

My main character

Name: Emma Dragonheart
Race: Dunmer
Class: Scout (custom: Stealthy archer, with a paladin-like alignment)
Level: 27
Fighter's Guild: Guildmaster
Arena: Gladiator
Name inspiration: I just like the name.

My secondary character

Name: Alucius Sirvillius
Race: Imperial
Class: Demigod, master of all skills (Achievement farming character, don't judge :D)
Level: 193
Factions: Leader of all factions
Champion of Cyrodil
Name inspiration: First name is inspired from my favorite book series "The Corean Chronicles" by L.E. Modessit, Jr. I just thought the second name sounded good with it.

Frosty, it seemed like a fitting name for a Nord, and after liking the name I made more of a story behind it. Basically he accidently killed someone with his Nordic Frost which earned him the name.

Me too! I am listening to The Black Halo right now.

So I went with the name of one of the world's most famous Witches. (Kirke being the Greek form. Circe is the Latinized version).
