I think Skyrim will be the best Elder Scrolls game so far and a mile-stone in modern RPG-games. I think it will be the game that sets the standard for future action RPG-games and that it will be played long after it's release.

I got tears in my eyes from the trailer. I have waited for the sequel for a long time. This game will be EPIC!

What's your expectation of the game?

To be another reinteration of the Series.

To out do Morrowind and Oblivion.

To be Skyrim with its own flavor in the pantry of TES

to capitalize on what made Oblivion/Daggerfall/Morrowind great and 3x that into a beast.

and keep me occupied for 3 years plus on computers

I expect it to outdo Oblivion and Morrowind. I believe it can do this easily. From the teaser, it looks like its already outdoing morrowind IMHO.

Epic, by every definition of the word. That is what I expect.

To be [censored] incredible the first 3 playtroughs, then some of the glaring issues will become obvious, and I'll mod the game to fix them

To allow us to actually name our saves (unlike Oblivion). I mean really. From TES's track record I expect the game to be great so this minor little feature is the only thing I'm expecting.

To have a really expansive and solid game world along with a modding community that will have a ball with the new tools. As for the rest of it, I'll reserve judgment.

I expect that this will be the best Elder Scrolls game ever, and my second favorite game of all time, right under Fallout 1.

Well if the trend from Morrowind to Oblivion continues, then Skyrim will be better than Morrowind and Oblivion. I'm expecting Skyrim to even surpass Daggerfall.

mildly worried. there are a lot of uneccesary changes and I have no idea if they're replacements will be as good or better as promised, since they have broken promises before. so... idk, I researve judgement until its out but I don't have high expectations.

I gave up hope of there being a second daggerfall since Oblivion came out, so I'm not bound to any particular changes as long as it still feels that I am in the same world, and have the same amount of freedom to adventure aimlessly through it.

I do have the impression that this is going to be a great game, regardless of people's worries, and just generally a great title to own. Hopefully the best elder scrolls game we have played to date, and a game that in the future we could look back on and go "They should do what Skyrim did."

My expectations are pretty high and reasonable, just because I was let down a lot with Oblivion. I don't want another Morrowind, nor do I want Skyrim to be Morrowind.
I just want Skyrim to be Skyrim, and I want it to be TES. Unique, fun, and an improvement from Oblivion.
Oblivion introduced new gameplay that helped the series, but IMO they did a lot of things wrong that they did better in Morrowind. Based on the literally thousands of threads/complaints on these forums alone on certain issues, I'd expect them to have changed the things we told them was wrong with the game and hopefully they improved on it.
