True, yes, but I suppose in a 24-hour period, or more, the result should be more balanced.

I'm just hoping that the xbox version is less laggy (I've heard it's less of a pain compared to the PS3 to develop on)

I have the PC version and I amplaying with everything at HIGH graphics setting. I have played just over 4 hours.

- Quad Core
- EVGA 8800 GTS 512
- Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 sound card
- 4 GB of Ram
- Windows 7 64 bit
- Latest Nvidia drivers

I also am running a program called GAMEBOOSTER, which closes everything you are not using on your computer while you game. Also running a program called Fraps to see the FPS and take screenshots.

The game runs 50-60 FPS, usually always 55-60. No issues at all with the game so far, the voice acting wasnt working some spots but that was my fault, I had to change my soundcard setting to GAMING instead of RECORDING mode (for recording music).

No crashes, no freezes, no bugs yet!
Great game Obsidian, thank you!

Running under PC, bought DVD at Best Buy.

No errors during installation (I did not have to download the files from Steam). No errors during startup. No bugs to report. All settings are MAXED OUT, ultra HIGH, no crashes. About an hour in.

Alienware Laptop M17xR2
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel i7 620M processor with turbo up to 3.6GHz
2 ATI Radeon HD 5870 Cards Set in Crossfire
Samsung 256GB SSD
6 GB DDR3 Memory
17" WIDE 1920x1200 LCD screen (I have, as of yet, to hook this up to my 37" HDTV)
Integrated 5.1 High Def Surround Sound

The game LOOKS absolutely AMAZING, better then Fallout 3. Could just be the landscape, but things just appear better. Framerate steady at 55-60 FPS mostly, unless there is a dust storm or looking at a lot of NPCs, then it drops to 35.

Last night I played for 3 hours straight but now I'm at the strip and the game keeps crashing every time I try to leave Gomorrah.
I'm running it on a 4650m with 4 GB of ram and a C2D at 2.8 GHz.

Froze up this morning around 11am, on a PS3. I was playing for over 10 hours straight, however, so I took the hint, turned off my console and went to sleep.

I'm happy with my purchase and I'm confident whatever other glitches I have, mostly aesthetic aspects, will be taken care of so I won't even bellyache over them.

The only bugs I've run into on PS3 so far are:

-When doing the first quest with Sunny, she stays in place with her dog running into her when near a rock formation.
-NCR NPCs sometimes speak to you and their mouth doesn't move.

On 360, Ive been playing well over an hour or so, and only encountered a couple visual bugs(gecko went through a rock, animation hiccup while jumping)... but so far, runs almost exactly as FO3 does, which is a good thing... Im impressed so far and having fun.

Lucky you.... I just got out of Goodsprings and my game freezed up as soon as I reach the Powder Gang camps.

Wait to fail, Bethesda, way..to..fail.

I have it for my Xbox360

I bought the standard edition game (Not the CE)

So far i haven't experienced anything overly wrong with the game, besides the couple of jumpy moments (meaning a 2 second lag and i was fine) I've played roughly 4 hours and thats my current results.

As for the gamestop exclusive classic pack code. It worked perfectly fine, i had zero problems with it and sold my weathered 10mm for a decent sum of capssss :hubbahubba:

Cheers :foodndrink:

OP unfortunately the two poll questions don't tell you the connection between the two. Perhaps you should have a poll for each system. That way we can gauge each system's experiences.

Playing on a xbox. When i go in or come out of a building,if i have autosave on the game wants to freeze and i have to reboot .I have had to do this 3 times in 6 hours worht of playing.I had the same thing in ES3 so i am wondering if its a game glitch or a bad place in my hard drive.

Save frequently is pretty much the best advice in this thread. I'm comparing the game to FO3, and to be frank, its falling short. On a PC. With a Nvidia card, I had to turn off the water multisampling thingie just to make the game playable in areas with more then four NPCs. Which is complete bull, because I have 1gig of video memory, along with 4 of ram, and 2.26ghz of processor power. FO3 ran great, Obsidian apparently didn't account for Nvidia cards.

Also, Ive had NUMEROUS glitches involving the AI. Stuff that is just wtf. Ive had an NCR guy perk up right after my conversation, run a good two miles into the desert, and then get decimated by a pack of geckos. Why was he leaving his post to chase after some random enemy two miles away? (He srsly ran from like, Primm, WAAAAAAY past good springs into the desert.) Then, I looked thru the gate into Primm, and two enemies ran thru a bus hull, and attacked. Fine, I can deal with that, THEN I killed one, and the other got stuck in his fleeing animation in the BUS. Two NCR troopers magically teleported on top of the bus, and killed him after about fifteen minutes of me exploring the rest of the town. (My bullets wouldn't effect the enemy for some reason. O_O)

Next, I go into Primm, and
Spoiler
the convict leader with the Flamer, puts his flamethrower AWAY, to attack me with a knife.

The game is even glitchier then FO3 on release. Its laughable really. I don't mean to be rude, but Obsidian pushed this out too fast.

*EDIT* Add my first crash to that list. Christ, did you guys even play it out side of interviews Obsidian?

alright PC's the new PS3 to the fallout world its official.. damn they just pushed the bugs onto the next system..

Running on a PC (64 bit windows 7) and haven't had a single problem. So far I've played for like 2 or 3 hours and haven't had even a hiccup. Compared to other experiences I've had with recent games, this one is a dream.

Can't really say how buggy the game is, seeing as the one bug I have encountered has completely killed my framerate thus not allowing me to play the game.

I found some bugs so far:
- Same body glitches as in Fallout 3
- In the Vegas Strip entrance (North) if you run to the gate and make the robots attack you they will continue to attack if you even when you load a save (if its in the same area)

Im on the 360 and the game runs fine except for one odd glitch. Sometimes two weapons get equiped at the same time. for example a machete that looks like 10mm pistol or dynamite that looks like a shot gun. luckily its easy to fix by going to the inventory and unequiping one of the weapons.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but it doesnt seem like it is something that should happen.

i finished the stuff in the starting town. was killing some thugs in an area just outside of town when i found some paper that told me to go north or something. so i go north for about 5 minutes when i see a red blip on my compass. it's one of those mutant mole rat things so i kill it. almost imediately i get jumped by three guys who are trying to gun me down so i kill them too. no sooner had i killed the 3 randomly attacking dudes, i get a message saying i am now hated by the NCR faction. WTF?!

i was unaware that NCR was a group of such zealous enviromentalists. did they keep this mole rat as a pet? if so why was it a red blip on the compass? i find out later that this all took place near some mining complex and one of the guys had a unique name. the other two were simply "Quarry workers".

were these important NPCs for some NCR quest? am i now screwed?

Spoiler
That ain't a glitch, it's their pet.

Now it seems the game is just crashing at random. At least I can leave the casinos now.

I experience some Frame Rate drops when there are a large cluster of NPCs in a small area (PC, Windows Vista 64 bit), but other then that nothing extraordinary. The occasional Graphical Glitch, but those happened in Fallout 3 so it's barely worth mentioning.

I've played the game for over ten hours on the 360 and the only two bugs I've encountered were. I melee'd a coyote and his buddy like ten feet away fell over dead for some reason lol. The other was a herd of those wild OX things, they were all floating in the air about five feet off the ground. Again lol. However, they magically floated back down and ran after me. Man enemies LOVE to team up on you in this game. I've died so much it's pathetic.

After about 6 hours of play with only minor freezing where it would stop of a second or two then run normally i tried to go to Novac for quest and the system locked up and had to force reset then it did it two more times while tring to get into Novac before i finally gave up and came here.

Also have had my gun point straight into the air during a fight with powder gangers, when i would shoot the bullet would go straight up and using the sights would just zoom into the top of the gun.

I'm using the PS3 version.
