:vaultboy: I do not remember the name, but I find the one with the motif of "-iest" and talking about "home" not only be good sounding but a ironic symbol of the Lone Wanderer's story.

"I don't want to set the world on fire" for me too.. when that song plays I suddenly slow down, stop what I'm doing, and just look around, taking in the sights. Forget the exp, the caps, the NPCs.. it's just me and the world of Fallout 3. All of a sudden, I'm there. Then the camera pans, and I'm standing there, with Clover (with perhaps some other modded companions like Lucy West and Gary) and Dogmeat by my side, and I'm reminded what an epic experience Fallout 3 is.

This is such a difficult choice because there wasn't one song I didn't love on GNR. But if I had to choose I'd say Butcher Pete, everytime I hear that song as I roam the wastes, I can't help but smile and tap my feet to the beat.

Way Back Home when sitting on a half-eaten couch in the middle of the desert with a broken leg, half your health, a tourniquet on your arm to slow Radscorpion poison and you're desperately trying to shake one last drop of water out of your last bottled water just seems SO DAMN FITTING.

Although Cole Porter's wonderful "Anything Goes" coming on right in the middle of a firefight of exploding heads and pinging rounds against cover is a close second.

"I don't want to set the world on fire."

I hum it to myself when playing New Vegas too (as the songs in New Vegas are found lacking).

I love all of these songs, because I love this kind of music ;) My favourite ones are "Way back home" (it fits into the game so well, but I also introduced it to my every day life - way back home from work or the university is not the same anymore!), "Civilization" (it just describes the real world so fine... making some kind of connection between our world and the Fallout world) and "Anything goes" (I'm keen on Cole Porter's music, actually, I think he was a genius) :)

I have yet to pick a favourite as i use the gnr enhanced mod which adds over 100 new songs! All lore friendly though, it would be strange listening to eminem or something :)

Without mods probably either Civilization or Anything Goes.

I love those deeeeear hearts!

Unfortunately that is not on the vanilla GNR. It was used in one of the promo clips, and fits so well with the game, that I really wish they included it in the default GNR sound tracks.
