Question - can you drop companions and get new ones in the same game?
e.g. I want to keep all the potential companions gathered in ONE room, e.g. Novac hotel, and when I want
to dump off Boone and ED-E and pick up Raul for example, I can simply tell my companions we need to
part ways for now - but if I do this, will they stay in the room and wait ?
Yes you can, but they either go back to the place you recruited them from, or one that they own in one companions case.
That or head to a specific plot based area later on if commanded to.
I think some people's playstyle doesn't fit Boone.
But that does sound unusual...most of the time people are complaining that Boone is too powerful. If you take away his beret (and leave it off), he WILL take a lot more shots on average to kill stuff since he won't have a bug-inflated crit. chance & such. But even minus that he oughta kick butt. Odd.
I do love Arcade tho....he's such a geek. He tends to whine about needing a doctor's bag an awful lot, tho. lol
You're probably right, the times I've taken Boone along for the ride he's been powerful though.
First one standard sneak and crit while ranged, but I find this style in NV lacking and prone to fast high health critters in swarms finding and killing my pc quickly.
Seond pre patch EW build and third a gun style my current favourite playstyle fast and flexible, stand up most fights dodge fire, zoom and take out a few, back to dodge switch to a smg..
Deathclaw in the distance? crouch without a high sneak take the sneak attack Danger flash up from its brood scope fire untill closer then switch guns.
This time Boone was even better, as a melee character maybe he would not fit if you kept getting in his LoS anyone tried this that could comment.
