What is your favorite Armor and Weapons?

Post » Wed Dec 01, 2010 4:16 pm

I was wondering what TES armor and weapons you think looks the best and would like to see in Skyrim?

I liked the Dwemer weapons in Morrowind since they had a slight steampunk-ish feel to them, and as for armor it's sort of a tie between Ebony and Chitin (IIRC that was the white bone-ish armor right? haven't played MW in a long time). I would really like to see both of them in Skyrim, and not just remakes of the old style but new designs (that goes for all the armor, but I doubt they will use recycled styles).

In Oblivion, my two favorites were mithril for light armor and steel for heavy. Most of steel, anyways. I wasn't a big fan of the mitten gauntlets.

I like plain armour like Iron/steel plate and chainmail. My favourite weapon combination is sword and shield.

edit;
Bonemold in morrowind was awesome though.

dwemer weapons and armor are amazing even the scrap armor in morrowind looked nice but the oblvion dwarven items looked great then theres the fact that the dwemer disappeared sometime in the first era and there weapons still can kill and there armor still protects. amazing stuff  my favorite weapon is the dwemer halberd its basically a giant can opener on a long metal shaft perfect for gettin rid of that pesky armor your foe has :chaos:

didn't the Morag Tong have some armor in MW? It was mostly black with a little red, very ninja-y. Might have been from an expansion. It was great as well, and chance of that returning?

Don't know about Morrowind, there was definitely a set of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Morag_Tong_Armor#Morag_Tong_Armor in the Unearthing Mehrunes' Razor DLC for Oblivion.

I thought the Ebony armor set in Oblivion was cool, the Dwarven set was neat too I like the idea that it's mostly made from the parts of old automatons. The glass armor from Morrowind was really wild looking though a little over the top for my character, I didn't like the one in Oblivion as much. Chitin armor was cool I also liked the imperial chain from Morrowind and the nordic iron armor had a lot of character I'm expecting a similar style in skyrim. Of course my favorite would have to be the Indoril armor the ordinators from Morrowind wore.

In Morrowind I used whatever had better protection and overall bonuses untill I found http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/ral-jiktar/images/firstguard01.jpg.

In OB I didn't like any armor, really. So much clipping through everything. Instead I mostly used clothes enchanted with elemental shields. http://pix.playground.ru/download/gallery/276634/f790f76a4c1d299d8f4269f3a3267c64.jpg Black hood, dark shirt, black wide pants, elven boots and orcish gauntlets.

Weapons - claymores and spears.

Ebony. I just like the black/gold color of it. For weapon it'll be a one-handed mace or axe.

Armor: Dwarven greaves on females. They look cool together with a huntsman's vest I think. On both genders; Glass armor and Ebony armor (except the helmets).

Weapons: Elven shortsword are the best looking weapon. I also like the ebony bow.

Liked the leather armour for its looks although it wasn't big on the defence front, the dwarven armour looked great on my high elf battlemage and the ebony cuirass and shield looked good but I wasn't too fond of the helmet. That was a recurring theme for a lot of Oblivion's armour actually, the cuirass/greaves looked good but the helmet, boots and gauntlets often looked a bit garish...

I loved adamantium armour in Tribunal. I was also particularly fond of Skaal guard armour from Bloodmoon. In Oblivion I quite liked Ebony armour and weapons, but most of my characters were stealth and/or magic based so I didn't tend to wear much armour, if any atall.

There is a Morag Tong helmet in Morrowind, but i think you're referring to the Dark Brotherhood armor from the Tribunal expansion
