What's your favorite Armor Combo?

Post » Thu Jun 24, 2010 8:36 am

Just wondering what armors or clothes you like to run around in the most.
To me, Gaming is more about having the best stats. And as a person who prefers sniping in this particular game, I don't really get
hit a whole lot. So DT isn't a big issue to me. And as such, I've found that I like exploring my fashion options.

To me, My favorite "Look" to sport around the Mojave is the Chinese Stealth Armor + either a mark 2 combat helmet or
Chinese Stealth Armor + the horned Great Kahns helmet you find up when you're in the caves killing the guy who's been
sniping off the NCR (Bitter Springs I think).

Although, for laughs I sometimes sport the party hat and some sixy sleepwear.

So what's you guys favorite Armor/Fashion Combo?

Space Suit + T51b looks ferociously sixy. And gives 50+ Rad Resistance. Other then that, I like Leather Armor Reinforced + Recon Berret.

Only power armor I like is the Gannon Tesla Armor, since it doesn't hurt your run speed. Others are too slow for me.

Wish my PC could handle NV lol. I'm on 360, all pics I take have to be done with my phone. Oh well, it's 4MP so maybe they'll come out semi good.

During the day I typically wear the Wasteland Doctor Fatigues because it actually looks like I could hold some of my junk in all those pouches and it looks like it'd be lighter and cooler (temperature-wise) to wear in the desert during the day. I sport some Authority Glasses to keep the sun and sand out of my eyes as well.

When night falls, I don my Bounty Hunter Duster for warmth and Biker goggles to keep the sand out of my eyes. I also carry a few hats to help keep the sun from my eyes. Which one I choose depends on my mood, but it's typically either the Desperado, the Pre-War Hat, or the Suave Gambler Hat.

I like to stay fast and mobile so I mostly stay away from any armor that's heavier than the light kind.

1rst Recon Beret, always.

Usually I wear Recon Armor.

I have tried wearing clothing for travel, but I usually forget to put on armor just before a battle. However I keep the Follower's Lab Coat for it's boosts handy.

A lot of vanilla-mesh clothing modded w/different color styles & to have combat armor DT. I do not like medium/heavy armor looks but I'm not generally into the "I don't need DT" playstyle, either, especially since I don't take any DT boosting perks, so....I love my colored active-wear and grunt armors and dusters...

"walking into the Mess" Armor? Oh it's my T-51b, it has saved my skin so many times, i cannot begin to tell you. It may slow me down, but i like having the added protection of metal when a Deathclaw is trying to rip my lungs out, or some Super Mutant is trying to ventilate me with a minigun. Patching it up is tough, i admit, but with the right scavenging and backup, it is not often i have to do major repairs on it. If you excuse me, i got some Noodles waiting.....

(in all seriousness, I am a fan of T-51b, T-45d, and for travel, Leather Armor(reinforced), i prefer Practicality over looks, though Andiaus, your Smokin!)

Only modded ones: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36152, the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37341 () and of course the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35130. I'd like to think that they are "Fallout", but better ;)

As for vanilla, Reinforce Combat Armor mk1, APA and the Hei Gui Stealth Suit respectively.

It looks better in-game, especially when you mix and match it's parts to suit your character ;) And there is a quest to acquire the all the parts, it isn't a freebie like modded armors usually are (such as the Colossus, just a box in the hidden Valley bunker).

Oh, and i use a high resolution texture for it, where in correct light a hexagonal pattern shows on it surface. Very cool.

I pretty much always use the Veteran ranger combat armor (modded version that isnt classified as a disguise.) and the matching helmet. I just like the look of the trench coat and body armor, gives a nice mix of soldier and cowboy theme. Also the armor and helmet has a nice combination of DT and speed that i find works well with an unarmed character.

NCR patrol armor + slave scarf. It just looks AMAZING when added with a 44 (unmodded) magnum :chaos:

Or NCR Veteran coat + slave scarf, looks nearly as good. Either way, the slave scarf makes things look really nice.

female legion guns user

Casual(in settlements)-1st recon beret, lucky shades, benny's suit
Battle(out in the wastes)- 1st recon beret, lucky shades, t51b armor

male ncr ew user

Casual- desperado cowboy hat, authority glasses, boomers flightsuit (pretty sure its the flightsuit, the one with all the patches right?)
battle- desperado cowboy hat, authority glasses, ncr combat armor

for my 2 future characters (female house explosives and male ind melee) im not sure what to use for the combat outfit, one of them might be enclave armor but id prefer no helmet and those look very stupid without the helmet. any ideas? maybe theres something nice in dead money.

Sporting NCR trooper mantle armour + authority glasses + recon beret.

I think I'm going to change it up to something pre-war though.
