Wow, this is an especially tough one. I tend to play dunmer, bosmer, khajiit and imperial characters most frequently. I'd probably have to say dunmer for the sake of the poll, but as I said, it's a close one.

Nords. Because i like their culture and because they are easily the closest thing to my own race in Tamriel.

However, i try to make use of all the races. Except from Redguards and Orcs, i have created atleast one character from every race.

I like all of the human-like races... I've never been a big fan of running around as a giant lizard or cat... It's just not for me.

Dunmer for me. I love their voices and looks (in Morrowind), I was a bit disappointed in Oblivion but no matter. Also their stats are pretty good for a battlemage.

They aren't poor or helpless at all, its just that the Dunmer are strong.

Also, why would one Argonian clan have a problem with another enemy clan being enslaved by a Dark Elven great house?

Aside from that, you'll see in many TES games that a large amount of Khajiits actually enjoy being in the role of the servant.

Imperial because for me, personally, it just feels natural to play the "standard human" race. They're not particularly specialised for anything (other than diplomacy) and I've always felt they give you a better sense of freedom to form your character.
Second place would be the Nords because they are essentially Vikings and I have a crush on anything Viking related, they're just so badass. And then thirdly would be the Argonians because Gin-Wulm was my chum and I want a pet lizard in real life.
Not that I condone the slavery of any Argonians or their brethren in any shape or form. *cough*

Tough choice between Orc and Imperial. My first character will be an Imperial alchemist ranger. my second will be a pure warrior axe and short sword wielding orc.

Definitely Nord because they are human ( and I like playing the game as if it were me) and they live mostly in the mountainess north, like me.

The strength of the Dunmer pales in comparison to their horrible attitudes, and is the true driving force behind their penchant for enslavement. Superman could destroy the Earth, but would he ever do it on purpose?

Hey now, not all Dunmer are mean, the ones in Oblivion (aside from Valen Dreth) were actually very friendly. There were plenty of friendly Dunmer in Morrowind as well.

Loyalty and compassion aren't relevant to the residents of Black Marsh, they are a system of warring clans, loyal to their fellow clans men and not their race as a whole. The only universal loyalty and compassion that the Argonians have is that they show to the Hist.

Also, the damage has been done to the Khajiit.....why not use them for what they are good for and what they enjoy?

Yes there were. But a lot of the ones that were friendly to me, were still racist.

I guess the Argonian-Hist relationship is a little one-sided.

I'd prefer to see them recover. I always believe it's possible.

WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN
1st-Those Morrowind dark elfs had the invasion coming.
2nd-With Elswayr independent, I think at least the civilized part southern will expand. maybe take Valenwood (bosmers are push overs, am i right guys) .
3rd-There is a big if, IF the Black Marsh expansion forces west than the Argonians will be the major player in Tamriel and pervent the Khajiit expansion

Bosmer since they're the race with the most potential as an assassin, rogue character. Dunmers are a close second place for me too.

Argonians are the closest guys to the Iksar in EQ, and that's pretty much why I like them the most. Next come the nords, followed by the orsimer and redguards (who are both tied for 3rd).
