What is your favorite race and why?
For a long term file, which race do you enjoy playing as?

I believe Bretons are the alpha choice for their magicka resistance and slight boost. Once everything is all set, every race is identical except for those with magicka advantages, unique resistances, or special one-day powers. maximum health and stanima also varies, but again anything can be achieved with any race. If you want a large magicka pool, a breton is still an excellent choice over the altmer if you choose the apprentice birth sign because they will still have no disadvantages.

My second favorite has to be the Altmer, because they can cast the most powerful custom spells in the game. I believe they are both the best (for their magicka bonus) and the utmost worst race to choose from because of their disadvantages. This does, however, prove the game an interesting challenge even during later levels and encourages stealth attacks and powerful single strikes whether it's magickal/magical or physical damage.

My third and forth favorite races are both the Redguard and Orc. They both have arguably the only worthwhile powers/rage spells in the game. Because of these abilities I believe that they are the most powerful melee fighters in the game. If I'm not mistaken they're also ideal for archery and, if playing in Oblivion, encourage once a day assassinations. I'm hoping in future titles they will use their powers in the vanilla version to provide a lethal and worthy combatant even for high level adventurers.

Bretons are good for spellswording.

Argonian because they're as cool as it gets.

Argonians. Love at first sight

Breton because i like being a pure mage most of the time and Bretons r best with magic

I like Orc cause I like smash stuff

Has to be redguards; they are the best warriors and chill as [censored].

Clearly I love Argonians. I'm not picky though. As long as it's not mer, I'll play it. I guess I'm racist as far as TES is concerned. I can't stand the elves and orcs.

Argonian. Balanced, useful attributes, and interesting but sadly not much lore.

I enjoy playing Argonian. I like their lore, their names, their looks, their racials...can't wait to see a TES take place in Argonia to see their tribe life and the swamps.

Khajiit cunning and agility fits my playstyle well.

Altmer, for they are the cultured people, and the best in arcane arts.

A famous Arogaion once said "Once Argonian, always Argonian!".

The Altmer win it walking away with me. I have an affinity for Dunmer, Redguard, Nords AND Bretons, each for different reasons. But, while I know these are not Tolkien's Eldar High Elves, nor the Faery Nobles of ancient legend, as a longtime fan of that artery of folklore and literature, I cannot shake the enduring love of the Elder people, in their various guises. That said, in my "mental character background info" my PC Altmer always has a strain of Daedra blood in his heritage, as well as a drop of ancestry from Dunmer and Redguard, and sometimes a little Falmer and Nord even further back.

Khajiit.
I love animals and humans irritate me.

Nords... because I want to play the province's native race.

redguard, because they're not commonly mages, and makes me feel even more awesome when i'm such an powerful battle-mage

Argonians, because of their interesting background, awesome looks, how they excell in Magic and stealth, my two favorite areas of skills, their homeland, and the fact that they took Morrowind from those Dunmer.

Argonians because they are the odd ones. I have an affinity for both beast races but if I had to choose I'd choose Argonian.

Nord

I like all the races andtheir lore, but I prefer to play the human ones of reasons unknown to me :shrug:

Well, when I first started playing Morrowind way back in the day, I thought Argonians were the coolest things ever. However, as I got more serious into my gameplay, I kinda felt stupid walking around as a giant lizard man. I still think they are really neat, I just don't play as one.

I think Dark Elves (Morrowind's style anyway) are probably my favorite, mostly because they are good for every kind of character, I like their demeanor, and they have some really interesting lore. Nords would be very close, but I like how the dark elves are meaner, where as the nords are almost.. jolly?
