Title says all really

. What is/are your favorite race/races
in The Elder Scrolls series?
Mine are Altmer (High elf) mostley because of their strength in
the arcane arts and their snobbery, and Argonian, for their
charming/unique personality's and general coolness.

My faviote race would be a nord because i tend to use melee characters always on my first play throughs and they fit the bill more.

But as for the regular races, I think it'd be a tie between the Redguards and the Khajiit. The Redguards because of their history and religious beliefs (not to mention the ansei) and the Khajiit for their crazy culture based on deserts and moon sugar. I think a game in Elsweyr would be great

I guess I just like the desert races, probably an effect of reading Dune :wub:

I'd say...for Morrowind, Dark Elves. For Oblivion, Nords. I usually play Warrior type classes the first time I play TES games, and then go back as a mage, then thief. Dark Elves and Nords make decent Warriors. I love Dark Elves in Morrowind because of their low, raspy voice, and I love the bald head with earrings, and the face with the black hand tattoo. Totally awesome.
In OB, however, Dark Elves are pretty "dandy", if you get what I mean. Not really my style. Nords all the way in OB.

First off, Dunmer are Dark elves, your thinking Altmer. (In regards to OP)

Second, my favorite are, in order: Dunmer, Bosmer, Khajiit, Redguard, Argonian, Imperial, Nord, Altmer, and Orc.

I just find myself to be most like the Dunmer (pessimistic, intelligent, and dark). I love all the races in TES; however, so it's a hard list to make.

Ehh, probably Nord. Or Orc. Magic and stealth are fun for a while but nothing comes close to the satisfaction of cleaving something to death

I don't know that I have a favourite race. I haven't even tried playing as all of them yet. You can't go wrong with Imperials though.

I personally love Bretons cause of their higher magic affinity. Plus they look good.

I thought i'd like the Altmer better cause i always like the traditional elven look in
most fantasy settings,the Altmer in TES however look too lanky and jaundiced IMO.

My choices are from most favourite to least favourite: Breton > Dunmer > Imperial > Altmer > Nord > Redgard > Khajit > Argonian

I don't understand why people always talk about Bretons being the premier caster race. Altmer are THE premier caster race.

They are both good. Altmer make better offensive casters and Breton make better defensive casters.

Khajiit by far. Back when I started on the Xbox I couldn't live without my precious Eye of Night. I also find anything that comes from a desert to be interesting, so I naturally find the Khajiit to be interesting.

I normally play as a Breton - however in lore my favourite race is the Chimer

My favorite race is Imperial because they are probably the most civilized race along with the Bretons. Normal human looks are always fine with me in video games.

Dunmer and Bretons. Dunmer because I love their culture and their raspy voices *in morrowind*. And Bretons because I like human races to a degree and how they are proficient with magic.
