What's your favorite song on the radio?

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 10:45 am

'Crazy he calls me' - Billie Holiday and 'Boogie Man' - Sid Phillips. Before this game I thought dubstep was the best genre ever. I was so wrong.

Definitely the "I don't want to set the world on fire" song by the inkspots Not sure for the enclave tbh.

Honestly I prefer the ambient music

I have that mod that re-does all the Ambient Music and I personally prefer that most of the time. Although on GNR, I think my favorite is 'Anything Goes' - and yeah, I like the Enclave station too.

I must admit the ambient music replacement is very well done. I don't care for the load screen music over the original, but all the rest I like quite a bit. 'Prefer' is a strong word, since I do like the original FO3 soundtrack too. But it's a nice change after hearing the same over and over.

It has been a while, better part of 9 months, since I played. I just started a ]new game with a bunch of the overhaul mods. I can't remember most of the songs and I haven't made it to kill Tri-Pup yet. So, I can't listen to the radio.

For now, I must go with this. It's great stuff, indeed.

EDIT :
enclave radio does svck, who wants to listen to muisic from like, 1780? i prefer galaxy news radio. i think anyone who is annoyed by the DJ is easly annoyed.

Two things...
1- It's more like the 1750's and that would be Antonio Vivaldi.
2- That damn DJ sux. It's bad enough I suffered through FO3 with his ass. THEN he shows up again in Skyrim. OMG, I wanted to fall on my sword! Worst part is...that char is essential!

EDIT 2 : I know now. I just made it to Agatha's. So it's anything she plays on her station. :violin: (When I finish her request)

My favourite tracks were Anything Goes, Civilization, and I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire, (and Dear Hearts and Gentle People if they had of put that in the game). I just loved going into an old building and hearing those songs.

America The Beautiful and Butcher Pete.

Way back home is good.

Actually, now that I think of it, it's all good... What a good soundtrack.

America the Beautiful is still my favorite :fallout:

I dont want to set the world on fire, and that says alot about the music in fallout. Honestly its the only song that really fits this awesome game... prove me wrong, but dont bring up those gay songs names.

Well, I just got the game a few days ago and I'm loving all of it but as for the music.....

It's all great, really it is. You can take the patriotic route and listen to some uplifting american tunes..... although the DJ seems like a crazy. At first I didn't know about the radio and I found it in my PIPBOY and had only the Enclave station, so I flipped it on.

Once I found I had GNR, I switched to that for the music. Hearing classic 30's. 40's and 50's music really sets the Fallout's world's story.

I have yet to find any other stations but so far 3 Dog doesn't bug me, but over time, I'm sure he will.

Easy. I have 2 favorites...the Butcher Pete song ("he's hacking and whacking and slashing..."). What a catchy tune...and a totally appropriate song for this game.

Also: who could ignore the song ... "I don't want to set the WORLD OOONNNNNN FIIIIIIRRRREEE...". Love that song...I sing it to my cat all the time, and she responds! hahahhaha

I love the music on Enclave radio, and find John Henry Eden's voice a lot more soothing than Three Dog's. Yankee Doodle always makes me smile a little.

Also, I cannot stand Butcher Pete. The "singers" make my head hurt. A lot.

I forgot to mention...there's no music as unique as what Agatha plays on her violin. I solved her quest rather early...and I didn't realize that her music can be played NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE on the map. Unlike stations like the GNR and its resident DJ Three Dog (where it seems you must stay around the Arlington Cemetery/D.C. area to hear it).

You are able to listen to GNR anywhere after a certain point in the questline I believe.

Wait...that must be why 3dawg sent me on this mission (in my current game). He wants me to get this satellite dish for him. I just arrived in the Museum of Technology.

Butcher Pete on GNR. The rest, some are ok or good.

Some of the songs make me want to kill.
I loathe and despise Let's Go Sunning. Makes me want to make them go sunning in a nuclear bomb.

Enclave, not sure. They're all good.

Agathas Station is good. Her music is all good.

They're all nice, but I just wish that they added a much wider variety of songs, instead of the same songs looping over and over again. Also, 70's rock was great back then, and the series as a whole has a disturbing lack of 70's rock.

It would be totally wrong.

Fallout is a world were the changes that forced society forward here never happened.
It stayed the same mindset, etc since the 50s.
They would not have made music like 70s rock.

Obviously some mindset changed, but yea it's based of the 50s, I would be called a confirmed bachelor if I were to live in the Fallout world, heck I won't have to hide it! :P
Anyway, by brain is fried, darn finals, my favorite songs are.
I don't want to set the world on fire.
Maybe
Crazy He Called Me
and Agatha's station.
