What's your favorite and least favorite race (or races)?

My favorite race is probably Imperials, just because they're typically a well-educated and orderly human race.

My least favorite races are the beast races, just because I've never really been fond of cats and lizards that act like humanoids.

I'm actually on the opposite side of the fence there... The race I find the least interesting are Imperials since... They're defining factor is social charm, and societal influence. I find humans to be boring in general, but at least Nords, Redguards, and Bretons all have traits I find more interesting than just being influential.

I like the beast races, though I wish they had more unique stat bonuses and unique weaknesses since the passing of Morrowind's time... Personal opinion and all... Interesting that there's such a strong contrast in what interests us.

My least favorite race is Imperials. I've never cared for the Empire and I've never cared for Imperials. I've never been able to make myself play an Imperial and I doubt I ever will.

My most favorite is Dunmer. This is partly because of Morrowind. I love Ashlander culture. I would gladly live in a Yurt in the Grazelands in real life if I could. I also like the idea of having my own personal Ancestor Ghost follow me around. I've liked the Dunmer in all of the games. One of my all-time favorite Elder Scrolls NPCs is Oblivion's Falanu Hlaalu and I also have a serious crush on Skyrim's Irileth. :hubbahubba:

My favorite race would be the Khajiit, their sheer diversity and prowess puts me in awe. My LEAST favorite race without a doubt, is the Sload, disgusting and vile things, such as they are.

EDIT: If we were going off the playable races alone, my least favorite would of been the Orsimer or Nords.

I'm also fond of Imperials. I believe it's primarily the desire to be able to relate to the character that acts as my avatar in this alternate universe.

I'd say my least favorite race is the Altmer. They actually used to be my favorite race, but after a while, I couldn't help but think they're almost too "perfect." They're superior to the other races in so many ways, that it began to feel like they overshadowed the others. It's almost as if you ask a young child to create a superhero, then ask them what superpowers their created hero possesses. Most likely, the child will name every possible power they could think of. This is what the Altmer became to me.

I believe I understand your views about the "beast" races as well. Any time I'm speaking to what are essentially anthropomorphic cats and lizards, it always kind of raises my eyebrows for a moment. I think it's because when I speak with them, it crosses my mind that the fact they're able to possess a personality similar to our own makes it possible to develop intimate feelings for them, which can become a bit disconcerting as they still possess distinct physiological differences from us.

My favorite is the Dunmer. I loved how well developed the culture was in Morrowind and they've always had solid all-rounder stats similar to the Imperials, but closer to my favored style. My least favorite is the Redguards, mostly because I've never been too fond of their stats.

RACISTS!

...

Sorry, but someone had to say that :P

Dunmer and Argonians are my favorites. My least favorite, well, I like that they're around but in character creation I'd pick Khajiit the last.

My favorite is Argonian, my favorite archetype in TES is probably the misunderstood, beastly looking creature that everyone is afraid of but turns out to be a generous and lovable hero B)

Least favorite? Hmm, I don't have one specific least favorite, but I rarely pick human characters, my most played characters are either Argonian or Khajiit.

Bretons

Imperial - Nord (yeah, i like them both equally to be honest)

Khajiit

Arognian

Dunmer

Orsimer

Altmer

Bosmer

Redguard

even though Redguard would be at the bottom, i still like them quite a bit.. each race has something that makes them interesting :)

My favorite are the Dunmer. Love their culture and society. They are still the most fleshed out race imo. Least favorite are the Imperials. Oblivion forever changed them for me. They went from interesting (Morrowind) to boring (Oblivion).

I'm fond of both the Dunmer and Imperials on a equal level. Having started on Morrowind, I had grown used to seeing Dunmer and Imperial guards everywhere that they sort of grow on you as a culture you can appreciate. Though, that is mostly the case for the Dunmer. Imperial was the first race I had ever played as so they've just come to be my favorite. Oblivion further established them as a favorite.

I'd say my least favorite are the Bosmer. Don't have any issues with them, just simply don't care about them. And uh, I suppose some of the more bizarre NPCs of Oblivion being Bosmer has scarred my outlook on them ever since.

It's weird. I like Imperial culture and history, and the way the games explore imperialism and colonialism is one of my favorite parts of the Elder Scrolls, but I just can't be bothered to ever play as an Imperial.

Overall though, I'd have to say my least favorite race is probably the Nords. Their culture is just the least interesting to me, I guess, and I've never been big on their racial bonuses either.

I couldn't choose a favorite race. Redguards and Bretons are probably my top picks. (also, they're not my favorite race, but I'm glad Skyrim finally treated the Bosmer as more than just the butt-monkeys.)

I get what you mean, I like the empire aspect, but never warmed up to Imperials as a race. Especially as the earlier games didn't have imperials as a race at all.

This is a hard one. From a lore perspective: Khajiit > Redguards > Altmer interest me the most.

As far as what I tend to play, it would be more like Khajiit > Breton > Imperial.

The ones I "least like" is even harder, since all the races are very interesting in their own regard. By what I tend to play though, purely on bonuses and what I personally relate to, it would go Altmer > Bosmer > Argonian

My most favorite (and most played) is Argonian, since Morrowind. I like pretty much most of the other races too, the diversity in lore is certainly one of the strong points of TES for me. But Argonians fascinated me the most from the start with the badass looks, mysterious homeland and their alien nature. Imperials and Nords impress me the least, however not because of their lore which is quite interesting, but the effect of the underwhelming representation of these races in the games that featured them.

Lorewise I find that I'm at least somewhat interested in all the races, though my favourites are probably Imperials, Dunmers and Nords.

In terms of what I play ingame, I tend to gravitate towards the Men, then Orsimer and the rest of the Mer. I rarely play Argonians or Khajiit.

Favorite to least favorite, in order:

Dunmer

Redguard

Orc

Bosmer

Argonian

Breton

Khajiit

Nord

Imperial

Altmer

I love Dunmer. My favorite race by far. Their culture and history is fascinating and I love the balance of magic and combat in their society. They're also the most unique to me in terms of appearance and culture.

I've..... never really liked the Altmer. They're too snobby and superior. It really grates on my nerves. I have never even played as an Altmer for an extended period of time. They just bore me.

Oddly enough, even though I like Redguards more, Orcs are the race I have played the most besides Dunmer. There's just something about them that I love.

Dunmer
Redguard
Imperial
Bosmer
Breton
Orc
Khajiit
Argonian
Altmer
Nord

I love what we've seen with the Dunmer and Redguard cultures, Imperial is interesting as is Bosmer and I love the idea of the Breton political climate.

Altmer are interesting but just don't interest me all that much and the Nords? Nords are boring, always really have been boring.
