What race is "Cryodiil" (it's in the poll...)?

I like Nords and Bretons the most, I suppose.

Breton because they have a sweet culture and are kick ass mages without the wimpy elf qualities.

+1

Bretons for the win!

I mostly like Nords, Dunmer and Redguards.
Nords because of their Scandinavian influence and general badassery. :D
Dunmer because, well anyone who played Morrowind will understand.
And Reguards because I always imagine Yokuda to look like some sort of Babylon 2.0 full of skilled sword fighters. Awesome.

Voted Khajiit + Argonian they are my favorite since Morrowind. I hope the next Tes to take place in one of their provinces.

I always try every race, but my primary characters have been Redguards, because...

Redguards: "The most naturally talented warriors in Tamriel, the dark-skinned, wiry-haired Redguards of Hammerfell seem born to battle, though their pride and fierce independence of spirit makes them more suitable as scouts or skirmishers, or as free-ranging heroes and adventurers, than as rank-and-file soldiers. In addition to their cultural affinities for many weapon and armor styles, Redguards are also physically blessed with hardy constitutions, resistance to poison, and quickness of foot."

Plus, I've always liked their racial bonuses and greater powers.

However, I think I'm more inclined to spend more time with other races in Skyrim than in the past.

Nords because they are basically Germanic barbarians, which is a topic I love. Though come to think of it Mannimarco should have been a Nord (Marcomanni) ;).

One can imagine how happy I am the next TES is set in Skyrim.

My admiration goes to Khajiit and Argonian races for their particular looks and racials.
I wish we could hear them blabbering all sorts of weird things in their languages especially when they are talking to one of their own.

Looks like Oblivion brought a wave of love for Argonians. Can't wait to see how they changed, I hope they get a more alien shape and hopefully some cool tail animations.

Nords, because they worship Shor (Lorkhan) as the head of their pantheon. And Shor is the best god in this series.

1. Argonians - I love reptiles, I always have. Since I saw Argonians in Daggerfall's demo there was no going back. :)
2. Khajiit - Cats are cool too.

i prefer an elven character, but high elves are too yellow and i didnt want dark skin either. so i usually play as wood elf.
my style is preferable a warrior in elven armour, with a sword and shield/spell.
but wood elves arent really a match for me for the fact that they are ranged, light-armoured fighters and i like melee heavy armoured fighter.

but they are still a good elf race to play. though with mods i prefer a smoother elf race. but not too shiny. hopefully skyrim will make a good balance for the elf races and the customizability of them.

otherwise, besides an elf, i would probably pick imperial

Dunmer ftw, however im really looking forward to rolling my first Orc for my Warrior. He will be a Beast! A Tank! Chaotic Neutral, a broken-down mercenary, trying to break the chains of fate.

I wish I could play all 10 for Skyrim, but I estimate putting in 1000 hours with the 4 i have planned...which ive never played any game that much.

Mage - Dunmer - conjuration, destruction, enchanting...aaallllll the magic....exxxcellent
Warrior - Orc - heavy armour, blunt and other martial arts, smithing
Thief - Khajiit - sneak, archery, alchemy
Common man - Nord - the final playthrough, a simple farmer who resists the call of destiny, ranger style specializing in unorthodox combat and commanding creatures beastmaster style

Ive never tried argonian and they are super neat, but they just dont fit my skyrim plans :'(

BUMP - tail animations though!!!

I'd have to say my favorite race is the Altmer, rich history and culture, and strong in the magic arts, just beautiful people. They also resemble me in more than a few ways.

The argonians would be my second choice, they're just really cool, who doesn't love lizard people?
