What is your Favourite Weapon?

My Elf Arwynn uses the Black Templar Longbow (which is taller than she is) combined with Shadow Infused arrows.Insanely powerful I don't remember the exact stats of them, just know they are devastating to those on the recieving end.Her blade is a 2-handed Katana called Masamune with 100 drain health and ridiculous stats on it as well (I think the damage is 147 right now).

Um, short swords are fine weapons, but they have less reach than a long sword (0.8 vs 1.0). They have more weight than a dagger of the same material (12 for a silver short sword vs 5 for a silver dagger for example). They have less speed than a dagger (1.2 vs 1.4) .

Spear.

I hope they bring that back in Skyrim. That, and I hope they seperate axe and blunt again...like Morrowind. But my favorite has been and always will be a bow. Second favorite is a good one-handed longsword.

With mods (OOO) probably the Templar Longsword - gift from Vilena Donton.

In the vanilla game maybe a self enchanted glass bow (likely shock and soul trap).

With SI Perfect Madness Longsword is great too.

In terms of generic weapons, I like bows. It's nice to be able to attack from a distance. (I'm not considering magic, like destruction, to be a weapon).

It really depends on the kind of character I'm playing, although I've got to say that I've got something with daggers. Especially when they are enchanted. They make fine weapons and I like the fact that they don't weight that much. When I'm a mage, I love having a staff. It's easier I guess?

Overall, I love daggers.

I like Akaviri Katana's the best. Especially since I've made some of the best self-enchants with them. I also really like Dawn/Duskfang, but I like the Duskfang version of it more.

Exactly why I like them, and the blade shape & design ain't half bad either.

I do not have a favorite. Although my characters each have their own favorites of course. Teresa has her Valenwood Bow (a moded bow that I went and modded some more), Saya had her silver and ebony maces. Aerin had her Mazken longsword. Morghak her Dwarven War Axe. Tadrose her elven claymore. Morrigan has her madness axe.Etc... I try to do something different with each character. That makes the game feel different each time I play.

I prefer the Frostwyrm Bow and the Ancient Akaviri Katanas for vanilla.I am very fond of a highly tweaked Cloudcleaver from Vvardenfall Imports right now,but I will use the Iceblade of the Monarch for my blade wielding characters.

Nothing beats a good enchanted bow.Arrows are a little harder to dodge than spellfire

So much awesome in a single post.

Mine would have to be Mehrunes Razor and the Thornblade. Both for looks but I use them anyway :)

So do I. Some nice polearms, and proper hammers too, would also be nice. Hell, a whole bunch of proper-looking weapons - why not! :D

But for now, if you're playing on the PC, and you do a search at the the Nexus for "spear", well... you might end up a little bit happier. ;)

Being the Mage guild master, I'm partial to my wizard's fury spell. But for backup I love Rhiannon's Fire Dagger which is an enchanted ebony dagger. But just today I found a glass dagger. I'm thinking a trip to the arcane university might be in my near future.

My favorite weapon is knowledge. I talk to everyone - learn the landscape. Plan an escape route. Bring some intervention scrolls and plenty of potions.

If we have to be literal, a nice Glass or Adamantium jink blade never hurt when I have to retreat a bit and heal, or pump them full of enchanted arrows from a well maintained longbow.

Perfect Amber Bow/Perfect Madness Longsword is the set I use. After I capped, I changed to the Perfect Amber Mace (I'm an Assassin). Duskfang is cool, but the damage output is lower. For a challange I sometimes use Mehrunes Razor - a vorpal weapon, it's great when it hits that. " poke...your dead. "
