Helena is currently getting by with a Silver Dagger than her good friend Carahil gave her when she joined the Mages Guild at Anvil. After she gains entrance to the University however, she'll take her Mages Staff as a "weapon". That is to say, her Dagger is currently only used for blocking and (RP here) harvesting ingredients. The Staff will be for blocking.

Chani uses an Iron Bow and Rusty Iron Dagger (literally just stepped out of the sewers).

I always carry two. Voltur my enchanted (shock damage) daedric longsword, and my staff of paralysis. I don′t leave home without them

Buffy only carries one weapon, her bow called Slayer. For the longest time, the bow's essence lived in the chassis of a grummite bow. As her skill and level grew however, she was able to transfer the bow's enchantments to a chassis that looks quite daedric.

Slayer is enchanted with drain speed 100 for a second + shock damage to taste + a brief soul trap effect.

Grummite bows are carried by grummites in the Shivering Isles, but ONLY if you are on PC with the unoffical Oblivion SI patch installed. It is available at level 1, weighs 5 and has damage between that glass and ebony. If you can't get a grummite bow, a permabound bow is a good alternative for a lower level character.

Of the top level bows (perfect amber/madness and daedric), Buffy prefers the elegantly sinister, yet simple look of daedric. She finds a madness bow way too massive for her small frame, as well as overly ornate. She finds the amber bow too flashy and shiny, with an ugly fat yellow glowing bowstring.

For vanilla weapons, I like the elven, ebony, daedric bows, madness longsword, daedric shortsword, and Dawn/ Duskfang. However there are some modded weapons that I like even more (see my "Assassing Outfit" link/ picture in my sig).

Marshfire (self enchanted steel bow) and HistRoot (self enchanted steel sword.) I like the look of them, not too flashy, not too...iron. If Haa-Rei goes out to collect alchemy ingrdients he will leave his weapons and leather armor at home in favour of his blue mages robe and HistThorn (Self enchanted daedric dagger).

All of these weapons are enchanted with fire damage and soul trap, HistRoot has an extra burden enchantment (100 pts for 4 seconds) which doesn't do anything but fits in with the swords name.

Yes, magic is wuuunderful!

My mystic archer can use emerald illusion magic to control someone's very mind. She can reach into someone's heart with restoration magic and either heal or pull the very life from them. She can toss forth a cloud of orange vapors, causing her to disappear and a clannfear to emerge in her stead. She can open any lock form a safe distance. When she lifts her bow to block, magic automatically travels down her left arm to reinforce the bow as a mighty shield. She can infuse her mare with a mighty spell allowing them to gallop across the surface of the water.

Destruction magic is another story. She struggled mightily with that at the University. Although she has perfected the ability to weaken her foes against her poisons or drain their speed, the magic of elemental damage largely eludes her. In fact her ability to use the elements like fire is largely limited to cooking mudcrabs, heating water for tea or baths and lighting torches. I suppose things work out though. After all, she relies on her bow for actual damage, using magic to help her deliver it more elegantly and safely.

I'll take the word "favorite" as meaning "most special to my characters"... I'd have to say that, for most of them, that most special weapon would be the Blade katana given to them by Jauffre, on the occasion of their induction into the Blades. It's not even close to being the most deadly, or the fastest, or the best looking, but it means a lot to be given it.

I have a special love for two-handed swords. I try to persuade all of my warrior characters to use them (whether they like it or not). My favorite vanilla two-handed sword is the Iron Claymore.

My favorite modded swords are the two-handed Longblades and Long Sabres in Adonnays Elven Weaponry.

My Alchemist also uses a blade to harvest ingredients, but instead of using a combat item Caesar came across a small knife in the Alchemy area in the Bruma Mages Guild. (With Caesar i am also RPing and very much enjoying my time in the Arcane University, Helena should get her self a knife its much sharper as the blade is thinner and weighs only 0.1)

As looks go I like short blades, if I use them I usually have one enchanted with a weakness to magicka attack that I use to crack tougher foes with magic and then I use a custom summon sword spell if I wanna hack and slash to save the enchantments charge. The thought of pulling a demon from another plane into a different realm and having it bound as a magic item appearing out of no where to help me out is totally awesome to me.

War hammers and bows have been growing on me lately but I tend to like swords better RPG wise.

It's fun to hear that other people carry knives only for RP, like harvesting ingredients. Buffy carries a hunting knife strapped to her thigh, but only for harvesting ingredients and cutting her arrows from the bodies (ugh) of those she shoots - hey, good arrows don't grow on trees!

Oh, here's her knife: http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Acadian6/Cho%20Bk%201/ScreenShot718.jpg

A custom-enchanted Ebony bow, Ruin's Edge or Shadowhunt are my weapons of choice for any archer character, and the Ebony Blade for melee characters.

Dearest Kiedi, I appreciate your advice for it is sound. However, my silver dagger also doubles as a method for me to block incoming attacks when I am cornered. I've not yet gained entrance to the Arcane University and my skills are clearly lesser than yours. I've not yet expanded my knowledge of Illusion beyond simple Calm and Light spells. Once I progress further, then I shall probably heed your advice. I look forward to seeing Caesar around the University.

Signed,
Helena

I'm positvely in love with my templar long sword, added by OOO. And then also my Oak Bow, which I bought off of some cool ranger types just outside IC.

And then it appears that Buffy and Camarilla favors the same type of http://i56.tinypic.com/2ue2sdy.jpg. Just for cutting herbs and other alchemical ingredients of course (no back stabbing or anything like that :whistling: )

To quote Sugar Gra-Mazog from my Gweden mod. "... my last pimp tried to to re-negotiate our contract with his sword. I naturally restated my position with my Axe. He'll heal.."

So I'm voting for "the negotiating Axe". Blossom carries one, too.

Daedric Longswords and Madness Bows, both custom enchanted with whatever I'm in the mood for at the time. I also like to use just plain unenchanted daedric longswords simply because they are surprisingly rare.

I'm partial to short swords, fast, pretty dang effective, realistic looking in game. Longswords are cool too, but the slowness I find distasteful. A silver longsword enchanted with soul trap and shock damage is nice and multi-functional.

I use a mod called "Stealth Overhaul" in which the humble dagger combined with high sneak and a sneak attack can become quite QUITE lethal. For those kind of characters I do like the silver dagger
