What is your gamerstyle.

Me, i am, unique in a way.

I would consider myself taking from:

Leader, Strategist, Radio, Veteran, Filler, Lone Wolf, For-the-Team, Guardian and Prophet. Which is a lot.

Although mainly Prophet, Veteran, and For-the-Team.

I communicate a lot, giving out friendly advice and telling people things over my mic. I tell people what is necessary and to help me out, or flank. I try and locate enemy positions, if i hear footsteps, i work out enemy positions based on how many are left alive and how many i have seen and in what areas. I will take a blow for the team, so rather than leaving behind my objective to hold up my killstreak, i will capture it and hold it out, but know i will die, giving my team those few precious seconds. If i am a scout and my teammate is a heavy, i will not use the teleporter as i know the heavy needs it more. I work very well by myself, and will generally be in the top 3 on the scoreboard, but i may have quite a few deaths as i am happy to make sacrifices. I will fill up classes others don't want to be to help out my team. In a way, i am just straight up versatile.

More than one. It depends on the situation I guess.
If I have a solid team, I'll try to play the role that's most needed. Can be a leader a strategist or the radio
If I'm having a team that crushes the enemy I'll be the "for the team guy", focused on the objective.
If my team is being crushed I'll be a guardian, a "for the team guy" or a lonewolf, depends on how I'm feeling.
If I'm in a bad mood, I'll be the whiner (with some ragequitting)
And after a while, when I have lot's of experience I'll be a veteran.

For-the-team/Filler for me, I can turn my hand to almost any role and i don't mind making a dent in my K/D ratio if it means we get a win. That said like most people I do sometimes Lone Wolf it.

I think I'm a Lone Wolf, but I do not put on display. I do my game only for the good of the team. In fact, in most cases the wolfs loves the team. Not that they are all "lone" like you talking about.

For me, definitely a leader. When my team is getting cut to shreds, I'm always there to pull it back together.

Where is the
"I'm just playing to have fun but still better then most of the 'hard-core' gamer wannabes who think being good at a video game actually means something" category?

Some of like to play to win. I simply enjoy winning and it doesnt mean a thing. Sometimes I play for fun, it just depends on the mood I am in.

Mixture of all because if you stick with 1 style it'll get boring and you'll won't play that style for a while. :sleep2: :banghead:

i move faster and work better by myself so i can just go instead of saying "come on man" or trying to keep up with my 2 man squad.
i chose lone wolf though i do tend to whine :P

p.s.an ironic amount of "Lone Wolves".

I play for my own well being, if I need help, I ask one of my boys to tag along and then it becomes a leap frog scenario.

When you have been playing with the same 12 guys for 9 years it tends to become second nature when it comes to watching each others ass.

well so you know there's a difference from playing alone and playing for yourself ,people who play for themselves are just plain greedy where as people like myself and many others before me play best alone, not assuming or saying your greedy just saying that gamestyle is greedy.

It entirely depends on the game. In shadowrun I play alone yet I leave support object to help me teams. In tactical shooter I advance through areas and communicate with my buddies if areas are clear or not.

If we are getting over whelmed we make a plan on the spot and execute it. It's not fair for you to assume somethings greedy when you have no idea of the persons understanding on his description.

Hard to decide between, Guardian, Radio or 'For-the-Team"... I went the latter because it can somewhat encompass the other two and is the most vague.

1)this sounds like your meaning for your self your own well being not other players

2)this sounds like you only trust and help you friends another sign of someone who isn't very nice to the team.

3)i never said you were greedy please re-read my post i said people who play for themselves are greedy if you don't ,fantastic,if you do,please go away i hate glory hogs.

I read your post and I understood what you said. Without making this a meaningless argument over he said she said, lets just agree on the fact that we both don't understand each other.

I am a cross between the prophet and the For-The-Team guy. My instincts lead me to where the team needs me most, if a situation looks bad in one spot, I'll go there to try and fix it, even if I am completely outnumbered.

I'm more of a strategist and the for-the-team guy, partially due to my liking of support classes. Like HendorneEndohRoth, I'd head to places requiring the most support. Calling out targets and such are things i'm pretty experienced with as well.

I'm probably a For the team prophet.

My prophetiness largely comes from the clutch situation weakness of For the Team, when I get surprised I panic and shoot wildly on the spot, so I prophecise to avoid those situations, also, I just have a good sense for when things are going to happen, and timing.

My For the Team side comees largely from a lack of confidence, I don't feel I can get good k/d, so I win through my team.

I still remember a time in TF2 when my blue, bomb pushing team was getting owned, but then I suddenly got this feeling that we were going to pull together, so I went heavy onto the front line to boost it, and we pushed forward and steam rolled them, I heard one of the reds say "WTF just happened?", I still don't know, all I do know is that it really "just happened".

Another time in CS:S, I got four kills in a row when I rounded a corner, saw a teammate in trouble, shot one of the Ts, felt instinctively, they were going to [censored] for me, so I retreated, owned the one that did, I was low on ammo, so I switched to the deagle, my feeling was good, so I went round the corner again, dropped one T, injured the other, ducked behind a crate to reload, and sprung out agin as the last T was loading his more cumbersome rifle, and dropped him, I didn't die until a moment later, when freaked out at the sheer strangeness of the situation, and my 20 hit points, I ran for it without looking around or thinking.
