What's your most amazing kill as of yet in FO3?

Post » Wed Dec 29, 2010 11:20 pm

I always loved the stray 10 mill bullet going through the brain of a raider that I had no idea was there, or the retaliation of shooting a person down their scope, by impulse.

What's your best fallout 3 kill?

Sentry Bot with a kitchen knife. It was the only weapon I had left and I got him up against a wall and somehow got inside the effective range of his weapons. The knife was trashed in the end, but so was he.

I think all the Rolling Pin kills were epic. Seriously, just going out there, and beating a persons arm off with a single whack of the Rolling Pin..

I was at an enclave outpost. I had used VATS on one of the soldiers with the sniper that knocks down. It did indeed knock him down, so I ran up, entered VATS again and did a point blank execution style kill. And given the many angles VATS could have done, it did a perfect cinematic view, I wish I could have recorded it.

Those are some pretty cool and hardcoe kills. Have you guys ever had a truly AWESOME kill? Y'know, firing in the deathclaw caves with a perfect headshot that exploded, but didn't alert any other deathclaws? Setting of a very large explosion to take out an enemy (If you can manage to rig a trap like the grenade boquet that hits a pipe like in rivet city.)

Ahh.. The Victory Rifle. They could not possibly have given it a more appropriate name. :tops:

Bashing a Deathclaw to death with a baseball bat the first time I encountered one, I learned my lesson in not exploring too far again until I had better weapons.

Sending one of those mutanted bears flying after killing it, a good shot sent it flying up into the air. It landed a few minutes later, took out a raider. Luring raiders into a trap by dropping down frag mines, peeping out from a doorway to tease them before stepping back and just watching the chaos.

Luring super mutants, a whole bunch of them and a Behemoth, into chasing me, I waited till just the right moment, wiped out the Fatman weapon and fired a mini nuke at them, there were wrecked cars around. Quite the mess afterwards.

After I fast traveled a group of Talon Company Mercs were waiting for me. I killed two of them within like a second. The third one started crying then put his own gun in his mouth and killed himself. On a serious note i snuck up on a Behemoth and one shotted him with The Terrible Shotgun.

That gun must have one heck of a Critical Damage boost, since a Behemoth has 2000 hp, and the TS at its max is only supposed to do 80.

My most epic kill was taking down a Behemoth with the A3-21 rifle, and scoring a critical with the last hit. The whole gargantuan creature just dissolved into goo.

I was once attacked by a gang of raiders. They all charged me and the rear-most decided to toss a frag. I shot the frag in mid-air ( in vats ) and it exploded over the heads of his companions killing them all. Tried to repeat it ever since but to no avail.

The weapon with which I get the highest percentage of epic kills is the Lincoln Repeater. There's just something awesome about the way the VATS camera follows the bullet all the way to its deadly final destination.

My most epic kill was the super mutent Behemoth that was southwest of jury metro. I was at lv 6 at the time and I still don't know how I kill it, I just had an Assault Rifle, Hunting Rifle, 10 MM Submachine Gun, a couple frag Grenades and I might have had a combat shotgun I can't remember if I did have the Shotgun at the time. I lost half my health everytime the behemoth hit me with his Firehydrant so I had to use my stimpacks like crazy.

Note to self don't go southwest of that area until I get a Fatman.

The first Behemoth I took on on my first playthrough was the one at Evergreen Mills, all I had on me were a few bullets left after killing all of the raiders and about 20 frag mines, thankfully the Behemoth got stuck and I threw all of the frag mines at it's legs, chipping it's health down, then shot it a few times. I was level nine at the time.

a guass rifle shot that knocked a deathclaw off a cliff into the water. whats even better is that it gave me enough time to go hide and do it again :toughninja:

also, i shot a generator from afar, releasing a behemoth that would then entertain me with constant raider massacre. man i wish i could have shot a picture.

I enjoy gunning people down and setting entire city blocks on fire with Eugene. That said, the other day, I was in Point Lookout, with no HUD, and I was creeping near this stand of trees, and something moved on my right, and I literally jumped off my couch, and twitched a single shot off from the Perforator and took a smuggler's head off. :foodndrink:

Came across a rare 4-way battle between Outcasts, Enclave, Raiders, and Talon Co. There must have been 15+ people/robots on the screen. I hit one side of the group(s) with a fat man and at least (3) cars went up instantly sending a tornado of limbs into the air. No survivors. Took >30mins real time to find and loot the bodies cause they were so scrambled.

Got a fairly good one about an hour ago, restarted the game so my character is currently level 6. I had met the requirements for the mole rat repellent request for the Wasteland Survival Guide and left the sewers, after using frag mines to deal with Talon and Super Mutants alike, I headed to the family home in that area and explored for a bit, listened to the robot read to the dead kids in the house.
I then headed out to the back and a super mutant in an unaccessible area was firing at me with a missile launcher, I couldn't hit him, instead I had to sneak and went to the badly damaged hotel at the other end of the street, killed the two super mutants in there with grenades and took the missile launcher from the body of the first super mutant I killed in there, went back outside and teased the missile firing pest, and he crippled me in the process, and fired five missiles at his location. The fifth was the charm, he exploded into nice bits.

Used up a lot of stim packs, but I was satisifed. That super mutant wasn't so smug after that, found part of him had landed right next to me.

well it does about 84 normally for each pellet which theres 9 of. plus the critical for 9 pellets then you add in the sneak attack critcal for 9 plus all the attack boosting perks such as supierior defend, bloody mess, etc. then add in some yau guai meat and psycho for and extra kick. without the psycho and yau guai meat it still can rival the damage done by a fat man.

I've killed an overlord with a zhu-rong before. Flaming bullet, right to the brain! It looked way cool in VATS, and the way he fell made me want to cry. x]

doing the "shady sands shuffle" on two supermutants then shooting the third one in VATs who was kinda far.
i swear its so epic when you fire and 2 supermutants in the background explode in slomo while the third one's head get blown off with a sneak critical

best stealth kill was a headshot on a raider, he was standing inside the back of a trailer of an old truck, 1% chance of a headshot with an old sniper rifle in vats. enjoyed that one. kills i enjoyed the most, came across 3 enclave soilders heading towards me, picked off all three in a row with headshots with the victory rifle without vats, they were wiped out in a matter of seconds.
