What's your most memorable experience in New Vegas?

So what are your most memorable experiences or encounters in New Vegas (DLC included)?

For me, it'd have to be Dead Money:

Spoiler
Those recordings of Vera trapped were so heart breaking. :cryvaultboy:

I was led into a viper ambush by a molerat, outsmarted by vermin.

The Tops Casino shootout. The way that entire scene played out left a very lasting impression on me. I love how Benny just takes you to his room, chats you up a bit, than walks out to get his goons. The moment he was beyond that door, I started looking for anything that I could use against the ambush that I knew was coming. Managed to find a kitchen knife that I cut the thugs up with the moment they came in the room.

Took their gun, and than made a beeline for his hotel room where that really awesome corridor shootout happens. The best part was that there was some civilians in the hall getting caught in the crossfire, so it really made the entire thing chaotic for me.

Second best moment is when I fought my way from the bottom of Fortification Hill to the top, than used stealth to get close enough to Caeser for a killing blow. I would of gotten away with it to, if it wasn't for those meddling bodyguards!

That Molerat was clearly an agent of the Vipers!

Vermin? HOW DARE YOU SIR!

As for the most memorable moment? Hmm.. I don't know if I can single one specific moment out, but I'll list a few:

Finally talking to Ulysses.
Leaving the Sierra Madre after dealing with Elijah (that's when the whole theme of the DLC hit me).
Finding the Survivalist's skeleton after reading all of his terminal entries.
Talking to House about the future of Vegas.

Eh, I've listed too many... but they were all memorable. :D

Mmm this is hard. First thought that comes to mind when I think of the game besides deserts would be the ending slide if u kill dean, very haunting and beautifully done. another would be the moment I realized that a npc was smarter than me. I usually killed Mr house BC I had to kill the bos and I kept thinking of them as the wasteland chapter and would always put a cap into his forehead telling him that hes wrong....until I watched the slides and found out I was wrong and he was right.

Gah so many things hence why im back in the Mojave after a year absence. Being in a firefight outgunned and outmatched, gun locking up and im blipping red only to have the grenade that one of them was gonna throw acually end up him dropping it and taking out the grp for me.
So many memorable moments..

See, I did it much easier (but less exciting). I have enough Stealth to keep Holdout weapons when being searched, so I had a pistol with me (Mysterious Magnum). Then, I just had Benny escort me up to the Presidential Suite alone (I think there is a Speech check to do so), and then simply killed him after he had his say.

In one playthrough I took Boone with me to go see Caesar (on purpose-I knew what would happen) after wiping out.. Forlorn Hope? Or something. That place near the snipers nest. Lets just say Boone got his vengeance, ED-E found some new playthings, and I had a load of fun blasting Caesars head off with a pistol.

I think many will agree on Randall Dean Clark so I'll go with a few others:

- Vault 11 Storyline
- Vault 3 is underrated, honest people trying to make a living get slaughtered by junkies. The one thing in Vault 3 that I think really stood out to me was the locked supply room with the pool cues, Nuka Cola and other rec-room items. The room is pristine and untouched, perfectly organized, it's a symbol of what the vault used to be. Spotless and sparkling then it was forever tarnished by chem junkies. I always enjoy wiping out the Fiends in Vault 3. Also that Daniel, Moto-Runner's #2 might have been one of the original Vault 3 residents. WTF is that all about? That's kinda shocking to me.
- Anytime I go into a abandoned house/shack and see a toybox or toys laying around. I like to think that the kids grew up, safe and have moved on. That's most likely not the case though. It's a reminder that not everyone is as powerful as The Courier.

Tough one ok its basic but left a lasting impression on me. When you step out of doc mitchells house for the first time and you get that flash of light with that simultaneous beautiful music. It was and is amazing. Just got better from there :)

Following a Gecko what was hiding his secret treasure from me. Turned out his treasure was another Gecko, so I kills 'em both and skin them. The meat's pretty good, and I can usually find a buyer for the hides.

Aside from that, I really liked meeting the major faction mebmers for the first time; Caesar, House, Kimball, Lanius, Yes Man, even Oliver.
Wiping out the NCR Embassy with the Liberator was fun too.

Vault 11 stood out the most.
Spoiler
Seeing those slides before certain death almost brought a tear to my eye. Those "remember when-" parts of the slide show really got me thinking about my own life and how I hadn't experienced some of these things. Then when you discover the big secret of the vault, I saved the game and quit. And spent a good part of the day thinking about what was really important in life. As well as pondering the lengths that people will go to stay alive.

Also all of Dead Money.
Spoiler
Dean's ending slide where the hologram continues to sing to an empty audience was really sad. Too bad I didn't know that insulting his ego would lead to his death. Leaving Elijah trapped in the vault was a fate worse than death. And that troll slide you get if you read Sinclair's message to Dean. Oh man, I was so confused! lol

Good times...

Walking through the Bison Steve hotel in Primm fighting the convicts with a crippled head, arm and chest. Every minute the screen would go fuzzy. The panic of thinking a convict would sneak up on me. The relief of finding a doctor's bag.

Then having to limp back to Goodsprings to get healed. Awesome.

I was going to say that.

Vault 11 would be my other choice.

EDIT: Oh, and the haunting music in the Villa of Dead Money was [censored] spot on.

-The last wave of Ghost People in the Sierra Madre, with "Begin Again" playing as I'm taking cover on my DID character, reloading my shotgun before blasting a few heads off, charging the others with my bear trap fist. I just felt so alive; the odds were against a DID playthrough there (much like the Ghost people to Courier ratio there) and yet I was pushing on.

-Traveling the Lonesome Road a second time to find any skill books I missed, again on the same DID character. Didn't want to die while looking for skill books so I had Med-X up CONSTANTLY. At one point I turned a corner where marked men usually spawn and got slapped by a deathclaw on hardcoe very hard mode with Ulysses' Mask and Duster, 10 Endurance, Life giver, all implants and Med-x. BARELY survived the slap, and instead of freaking out? I just got pissed the **** off. I calmly took every drug and healing item I had and proceeded to kill the Deathclaw and regenerate ALL my health before he could even strike again. It was then I'd kinda realized just how far I'd come; that being hit by a Divide Deathclaw didn't freak me out, but just made me angrier. :D

Is that in the lobby where you have to get Vera's three recordings from the terminal? If so you can bring up security and they would kill all the ghosts in a matter of seconds!
Didn't know until I played DM again that the ghost people hit pretty damn hard. Also I can't dodge fire bombs! :swear:

Oh yeah fire bombs are hell! dead money is much tougher if your using PN since alot of the settings make for a much more difficult time with enemies. especially ones with explosives.

I like how you can target the Gas Bombs the GP hold, but they never get hit and explode. :stare:

First playthrough, I didn't find out you could fast travel. Until Novac. At least spending two hours running away from stuff do to lack of stims and doc bags was... interesting to say the least.

I gave up on that, I've always tried to VATS Ghose People with the Gas Bombs, but I think the Ghost People are nigh impossible to shoot in VATS. Now I just try to duck for cover as soon as I see a bomb pulled out.

Seeing Yes Man's face on computer screens while taking over the dam during Independent. That moment is just so awesome! Also talking down the Legate.
Off topic: How come in Skyrim we can't talk down or convince Alduin? Might actually make the Speech tree worth investing in....
