Western Brotherhood horde Tec and they don't share. They are willing to kill/start wars over it. There was a time when they got along with other factions like the Shi and NCR.

MWBoS do let in outsiders but they also have deathcamps and they take control of towns and cities and demand payment for "protection" mostly their "best and brightest" for training. They do share tech but only to those they control.

DC BoS, Lyons, well I think people don't like them because Beth made them White Knights and we are forced into helping them even if our characters hate the BoS.

Well Lyon's Brotherhood didn't share technology... I say we should add the Outcasts to the list.

West- OK

Mid West- AWESOME

Lyon's- Heroes

Outcasts- Douchy (not as much as the West)

In away Lyons does share tec. They let in outsiders and they share the benefits of tec ie water from Project Purity.

Outcasts where Bethesda's attempt at representing the West Coast Brotherhood.

I agree MWBoS are Awesome :tops: Lets hope Bethesda does not write them off as a small group in Chicago.

I really like the Outcasts, because unlike the West, who are pompous jerks that try to pretend that they aren't, the Outcasts are just flat out dikes, and they don't try to hide that fact like the West does. I also like the East, simply because being White Knights isn't really a bad thing in a wasteland where they're the only major faction that's trying to help. And I don't really know enough about the Midwest to fairly judge them. All in all the only part of the BOS I don't like is the West, and I can't wait for the day the NCR gets rid of them for good.

The original: I love how they sit in their bunkers with all their pre-war tech and how they can't give a rat's ass for the well being of others.

Midwest: I haven't played the Tactics, but from what I have read they keep the good ol' Brotherhood spirit alive.

Lyons': I've never liked them, they are just boring.

Outcasts: Huge dikes, I like them.

I wish they were more of a force to be reckoned with.
I mean, they want to keep tech for themselves, so my dream BOS would be a faction that rolls into towns and TAKE tech from the lesser beings and if anyone so much as utters a word towards them then they are killed on sight.
That would be my dream BOS, a faction that is so obsessed with it that it does not care about anyone at all, oh, and that their power armor is true to the lore.
FO2's BOS were in the background.
FO1's BOS traded with people.
FO3's BOS were downgraded and "white knights".
FOT's BOS were too open.
FONV's BOS were whimps.

This.

It'd be awesome if they just found some in a town and took it all, but no they just scavenge...

Fallout 3's Lyon's Brotherhood, betrayed almost every belief the brotherhood had, which formed the outcasts

Tactics' wanted more people, so they recruited

I was hoping for atleast two or three BoS chapters in Vegas and have there be a mission where you can unite them and they take over some land for themselves...

But no they just hide in their little bunker and send people in garbadge bags to get groceries.

I never got why people like arsehead factions in general; I mean, they probably would never like you in real life (that is to say, they'd string you up and kill you) at which point I think your opinion of them would differ somewhat and to be quite honest you know they aren't going to win in the end 90% of the time.

I like darker factions because they're way more interesting than any good factions.
Goody goody two shoes factions are plain simple just boring to me.
Don't care how they would've treated "me". (Legion would've made me a baby momma :D )
Cause they're not real, they're fictional.
So I know that Unity would've dipped me in FEV and I would've either died or lost all my memory and become an ass scratching hulk, but I still love them.

The BOS are pretty dead to me in the West,

Midwestern are becoming powerful, and the Withe Knights (bleh) maybe triying to make peace with the Outcast (But the Outcast arent idiots)

That is the reason why they are in a war against the NCR. Sadly, we only saw them after they had practically lost the war.

Really? That svcks, would have been good, then again from my RP standpoint I'm pleased... I think, actually I don't know so screw it, that does svck.

As for the BoS war I consider that an upside, had it been set earlier and we'd been able to play a part in the war, who knows? The open-ended nature of it might have ment that in a later installment the BoS won or a truce, at least I have the satisfaction of knowing that the BoS are getting there pious arses kicked back to the stone-age, and as a plus, plenty of NCR scum die too!

When did they say that? When did they want to have it take place instead?

Piffle, have you ever felt the rush of euphoria of leading a thousand people into the bright sunlight uplands of prosperity, whilst dispatching the forces of darkness?

West Coast: They became brittle and hard-headed to reality over time and that became their downfall.
Midwest: They tempered their "alloy" by including tribals, mutants, ghouls, and later The Calculator's machine army.
East Coast: Manpower and logistics shortages forced them to recast themselves as a softer, but more flexible BOS.

I love the Brotherhood of Steel, mostly cause they have direct ties with the U.S. Army.

I also love the Enclave, because they are super patriotic and are willing to do anything the bring the U.S. back. But, they seem too much like machines.

Brotherhood of Steel east coast has to be my favorite though. I like McNamara, but he's willing to chill in a bunker all day to avoid a fight. Plus, he's only interested in tech. Maxson wouldn't approve. Elder Lyons is the man, because he wants to help the people who are less fortunate to him. Plus, east coast is my home town.

EDIT: I'm a Brotherhood Paladin in FO: NV btw.
