Thats not how it works..quite the opposite. The monitor would have almost a 3.5x better resolution than the 40inch TV screen because it has more pixels over a smaller surface, rather than less pixels spread out over a larger surface. This is why the Oblivion UI was so massive, it needed to be massive so the console users could see what they said, and why PC UI mods scaled it down to 1/10th it's size for an equally legible size.

Um, I am not sure what you are correcting. I never said anything to indicate that the TV wouldn't have a much weaker resolution. Just that a lot of people will find its level of resolution perfectly fine and would prefer the huge size. Not everyone is a graphics snob.

Anything that is an opinion is clearly marked, otherwise nothing I said was false. I'm sorry if facts get in the way of your worldview, but if somebody posts things that I know for a fact are incorrect, regardless of the topic, I tend to correct them.

And now for the opinions, but with a healthy dose of facts too: Intel's measurements show an install base of gaming class graphics cards higher than either console, and steam, the majority of the digital distribution market estimated to account for slightly over 50% of all PC sales took almost a billion dollars last year. PC users have nothing to be jealous about, both console and PC gaming are doing just fine. While I can only apologise that my (fact backed) opinions do not mesh with your own, that will not be changing any time soon. While I'm sure I get in the way of your sense of anti-elitism elitism with my pesky numbers and facts, you can rest assured that if the quantum many-worlds theory is true there is an infinite number of universes where you are correct.

I also invite you to find me an xbox and a TV for the price of an xbox, by the way, as well as a fighter jet and an airport for the price of a lego set.

My horse is built on facts, not a false sense of superiority. I wonder if you can say the same.

If I get Skyrim it would have to be for the pc. Sadly with the whole PoS oblivion and Fallout 3/new vegas games. They will have to show me that the game play will not be boring and lame. With no real challange. Not something I can burn through in a day.

I have a PC, an Xbox 360 and a PlayStation 3, but I never ever buy a game for either console if it's available on the PC.

This is like the 3rd or fourth topic like this. Anyway I again go with PS3 because I hate using my 360 and my PC probably can't handle Skyrim on max. Most likely I will end up with the PC version in the future when it is cheaper so I can mod it and if its anywhere near as good as Oblivion was I will probably end up having the 360 version sometime down the road too.

PS3 or 360. Probably because I prefer playing on a console to a PC. I don't care if I don't get mods as I thought the previous Bethesda games were fine without them.
And if I am automatically inferior because of my preferences, then I'm perfectly fine with being inferior. It's not like I am harming anyone for not playing on PC.

PC. Isn't that obvious?

Mods are the reason I'm still playing Morrowind after 5 years of discovering it.

Hoping my PC can handle this on full settings but we wait for Bethesda to release those specs............. Weird thing to say but I am hoping this game is so good that my graphics card can't handle it !!

I doubt the specs will be much beyond (if any) the specs for NV. The game still has to run on Xbox and PS3 so its not like they are really going to pushing any PC built in the last several years very hard.

I'll be getting on PC for many reasons, at the top of which is mods. TES has a great mod community, I couldn't imagine playing the game any other way.

Just shut ya pipehole ,and give it rest.....ok!

Consoles are more poplular, they've taken over, just like the gen will.....you like PC we get it....get over your snobbery!

Topics like this ,should be stopped straight away,it always end's in the same [censored]. As long as we can all play skyrim who gives a flying [censored] ?

PC user's are usually the ones to start such things, they fear console's and are jealous. Find me a PC and monitor for the price of an xbox = 200 ,for the new 250Gb xbox....some of you talk through your arseholes....and it's getting frustrating.

Things on this forum are getting boring and monotonous.....it's no wonder that todd prefers neogaff forums,to this. Some really nice sensible people on here...sadly ,the idiots take over!

@ Phyoshi :

Sorry to have picked you out like that. I let my frustration get the better of me. So i apologize.
I want everyone to enjoy skyrim no matter the platform.

pc it's my platform of choice, but playing games like this is really cool to play on the xbox on a big widescreen plasma tv, really immersive... for example i died when i played fallout3 at my friend's place

and yes, i died, i'm a walking corpse... deal with it

I could play it on either but I'll be buying for 360.

I'm a consle player through and through, been that way since Halo: Combat Evolved and Morrowind.

I just find having all the tools you need in one compact controller is a much nicer feel than a keyboard and mouse. Always found playing games on the PC to be 'Tacky'. Simply because the PC wasn't soley designed to play games. Its just that they have the capability to do so these days.

The 360 was 'designed' for gaming. And I'm also totally dedicated to the Xbox anyway. The only stuff I play on PC are MMO's, but then I'd probably play them on consoles if they started doing that. I just hate gaming on a PC interface. Its like joyriding in your dads banged up mecedes.

Say PC wasn't designed for PC... LOL!
PC It's for all and more!

You know the first game in the world was in a computer? Later enterprise create consoles for simple people.

Ah, PC, Better graphics, mods, more more more... I supose you know there is a unlimited potencial for this engine and this game on PC right?

It's your preference, but you know you can plug xbox controllers into your PC right? most of these PC games have control setups for controllers.

I'm a former xbox owner and a current ps3 owner. I first played OB on my old 360, got every achievement, etc. Needless to say I loved that game. So when I got my ps3 (which I got because my xbox had red ringed too many times and it was the last straw) imagine my surprise when the OB ps3 version didn't even have any trophies or anything to achieve. I know Bethesda prefers the Xbox when it comes down to it so I was wondering if I should buy a new Xbox so that I'll have one come the time this game comes out. Do the xboxes still have major technical problems or no?
