What's your platform of choice?

PC, because that's all I have. And since it was new as of late November, I have no doubt that my computer will be able to run it at high settings.

Only play on PC. And oh god I hope they manage to make Skyrim playable for PC gamers. I'm so sick of games having that disgusting console feeling because the game is cross-platform.

Eh...360 because I have one. Plus, having played TES: IV on an 1080p HDTV, computer screens are just not the same for me.

Yeah, true 1920x1200 with 16xAA just can't hold up to upscaled 720p with 2xAA.

PC, superior graphics and controls, plus mods, and bugfixes available before they make a patch. What's not to like.

PC. I don't get why people would get it on both PC and a console though? Why not just get it on PC unless there's some special circumstance where you have more access to a console or something...

Console can at least guarantee a smooth experience in HD? Doesn't outweigh the benefits of PC at all though.

I suspect they are talking about size. Most people have their computer hooked up to a monitor in room A, that monitor is maybe 24 inches. Their TV with consoles attached is in room B in front of a couch, the TV is 40+inches. I'd rather watch 720p on a 40inch monitor than 1080p on a 24inch monitor. This isn't to say you can't hook your pc up to the big TV, just that most people don't have it set up that way.

Personally I'd much rather take more detail on a smaller screen than less detail on a bigger one. Since when was lower pixel density a good idea?

@br0sk1; Pretty much any modern PC has more than enough spare power to ensure perfect framerate well above the console 'standard' of 720p.

Well, with Oblivion, I played through on the 360 first. Then got it on PC and modded the hell out of it. I usually play PC the most, though.

I deny it. I get the full game on my PS3 and 360 players do, as well. If you're referring to mods, I don't like amateur, unofficial content. Mods are not the game itself, so they are not a game's unlocked potential and I just don't care for mods.

Amateur? Yeah, right. I guess Bethesda has a bunch of amateurs making their games then. Since bethesda has hired modders. Bethesda also takes ideas from modders an implement them into the game.

Consoles are 1080p these days. And the graphics are fine. I just want to enjoy the vanilla game, what was intended by the developer. I havn't got time for mods and frankly couldn't justify the price difference just for better graphics and mods. Its all about the game itself and gameplay for me, something that many overlook these days. So 360 thanks.

First off did a search and didn't see any other polls asking this so I thought I might as well, now if I for some reason missed that send me a PM with a link to it and I'm sure a mod will close thread quite quickly.

Secondly I know there's a whole Steamworks debate going on and what not, but if that is a debate you want go to that respective thread please, I'd rather not this was closed because of starting a similar discussion.
So for the intent of this poll let's say you will not need Steam for the boxed PC version at the same time also distributed on Steam for those that prefer that.

I prefer the Gamecast. Gamecube + Dreamcast. :geek:

Sure consoles can produce 1080p but not if the games themselves don't support it, and not all do which is what he meant I think. Most if not all games nowadays at least have 720p support but not all have 1080p hence 720p 'standard'.

@phYoshi yeah I know that was me failing at trying to come up with a reason to choose console & PC :P maybe portability? you can take a console with you somewhere but most wouldn't haul a gaming PC with them...still a fail..

right, amateurs. you know that hard core thing from NV? well modders made that for morrowind nine years before NV even came out, its a little thing called NOM. if you look at the best mods they are usually at least two or three generations more advance (script wise) than the actuall developer made games.

360. I have no money for a gaming computer.

Yes you do.

Any money that was spent getting an xbox, or somebody buying an xbox for you could have bought an acceptable gaming PC capable of running most games on medium/high settings.
