Myself, I just started playing skyrim about a week or so ago. Funny thing is, I have had Oblivion for my PC for many years, got it when if first came out and never got a chance to play it (unfortunately from when it first came out, not the GoTY version). Funny thing is, yesterday I installed it for the first time to check it out, the graphics are really good, for how old it is, only thing that makes it look really dated is the UI and text boxes when NPC's and things talk.
About 4 months ago, I bought a PS3 to play Diablo3 on, cause the console version was better than the PC version for that game, got semi-bored of that game and needed a break (I'm a long time fan of Diablo series, played them since series first came out and they were new.)
Tried many games to try to find that game what would grab my attention, and Skyrim definitely has done that, but now it has left me with a feeling of wanting to get a copy for my PC lol
Overall, as title of thread says, I'm really interested in hearing what lineup of games others played before they played Skyrim, so here's my main lineup starting with Skyrim (which I think I'll be playing for a longtime, at least till Elder Scrolls Online comes out).
Skyrim < Diablo3 < World of Warcraft < Tibia< Diablo2< Kingdom of Drakkar < Diablo 1 < Forgotten Realms RPG's on C64 .....all of this with brief breaks to play all the final fantasy games, secret of the mana, Zelda, and most Nintendo and Super Nintendo RPG's.
Yes, I'm over 40, but have been gaming for a long time, and typically once I get on a GOOD rpg, I play mostly just that for about a year or so, depending on the game.
