At the end of the day, guns cover more situations than everything else.

Melee/backstab, If you need to do anything other than stab them in the back youve already lost imo.

if anything get's a higher vote count than guns, i fear the worst for how brink is gonna be played.

as for those melee-lovers, go to the cods that use an overpowered melee attack, wich can be upgraded even [censored] more!

I like guns - specifically, precision guns. A few well placed shots with a powerful gun can trump a wall of bullets in most situations.

Guns guns guns. Apply directly to the forehead...of your enemies. :goodjob:

However, while I do value accuracy, I also very much enjoy sending a hail of lead at my foes. I'm not exactly the Rambo type, but I'm not what one would consider cautious either.

Nah, to easy
I rather play a game that takes skill, if you like guns u might as well play cod too and use the intervention(w/ quickscopes) cause that's powerful at all ranges but watev.
But as an operative I just find melée to be the most silent form of kill, plus melded knock them down even if I don't have backstab so I could be stealth with any class in theory.

I would probably chose melee, just because it's most fun to sneak up on someone and demount their tent.

In some games, you mean. Most recent games do rather support bullet-spam than precision.

You can go full blown Gatling if you like

And yell "Cry some more!" while you're at it.

i do play mw2, and because i'm not one of those people who hides behind quickscoping or tac knifing, i'm a smg-rusher, who would be meleed by a fool using commando and/or tac-knife

Even if a game makes it easy to spray, that doesnt mean its more effective. Spraying is always going to miss some bullets, and the ones that DO hit, are going to be bodyshots most of the time. Until a game lets you aim at someones head and hold the trigger down until you get a headshot kill, its always going to be faster to fire a few well aimed shots at the enemies head to take them down.

Really you need to be able to use all the weapons at your disposal to be the most effective that being said there is nothing more badass then melee kills. In my humble  opinion.

Personally, I want to have fun at first. If that means I have to be the most effective person, the game fails.

to be the most effective, you'd have to be a soldier using aimbot...
and put a speedhack on aswell, i can see you being unstoppable and that's what we look for in a soldier.

me myself prefer being effective in a good way wich leaves noone -apart from some whiners who don't see the difference between a good player and a hacker- able to call you a noob/hacker

Really want that stealthy approach, ya know, behind enemy lines, sweeping up any missed kills or snipers with a sub and a knife. It's how i play in every game. that guy who makes you go, "WHERE THE HELL DID THAT GUY COME FROM!?!?"... Kinda like to hear that over Halo. always makes me happy to hear them rage over not watching their back. And with SMART, it'll be even easier to get away. -ninja pose on top of containers-

I'm still going for guns. Nothing as satisfying as an intense 1v1 in a small corridor.
