I myself was one of the Morrowind fans that felt disappointed by Oblivion and betrayed by the devs (with all the changes Oblivion brought to the lore and gameplay). :flamethrower: After years of reading and posting on these forums I went from raging to bashing to sulking to resentment to regret to resignation to not giving a muck to acceptance. Finally when Skyrim was announced my hopes got a little up and after watching the trailer a zillion times, decyphering the back cover of Game Informer and reading the article I must say I'm excited. From what I can tell Skyrim is going to be a completely different experience than Oblivion and in a good way. I believe that Oblivion fans will be able to find there a lot of things they now from the previous game, but at the same time it will have been reformed and reorganized. The setting will also be much more alien than what Cyroiil has been made to in TES IV(for those who don't know the lore - the central province of tTamriel used to be known as a lush jungle while in Oblivion we experienced a change to European-like woodland) which should appeal to those who seek refuge from all the classic fantasy RPGs. It seems that Bethesda is simply looking for constant progress within TES series. THere's bound to be some rage from fans who don't like changes, but in the end it all turnes out well.
Dear Bethesda,
Good job on Oblivion and I hope the way you went with Skyrim will now make happy even more of TES fans!! :foodndrink:
