What is your style of game play?

You're a slow person and can't afford a light bulb?

Nope, I build up lots of defenses in RTS games and tunnel in Worms.

So what, you throw bottles at them? Plant chokeberries into their inventory?

Give me a sword, a battle axe, a gun, or harpoon and send me into the battle field. I'll be the tank for anyone that wants it!

or I like shooting people with arrows. I am not very good with a sniper rifle, I will admit it. except on resident evil 5. but those guns are so easy to handle, if you couldn't handle a sniper rifle, I wouldn't know what to say...

Type to someone then kill them while they're typing back.

I like playing styles that make others QQ. Fun times.

Stealth Fireworks. I slip carefully through shadows and corners, but have terrible aim and panic under pressure, spontaneously firing everything in as many directions as possible.

No but like I take a bunch of non combative majors like Mercantile and Speachcraft, Armorer and Alchemy. Which are generally thought to lead to leveling nightmares if you take any of them as a major, I use all 4 of them together.

Then I rely heavily on poisons, and buffs whereas most people use alchemy just for healing and magicka. Most people view Alchemy as a supporting skill, but its actually the skill I base my characters around. I use it for everything, whereas others would use swords, archery, or destruction. I will use whatever is handy but buff the hell out of it with poisons, or skill and attribute fortifications. My characters take steriods.

Then I play Orc, Altmer-Apprentice, and Imperial characters. Orcs are the least used in every pole Ive seen, Altmer-Apprentice is considered High RISK, and Imperials have social buffs rather than combative buffs, thus are thought to be less powerful.

I don't strict my play style to single style. But if I had to choose one, I would prefer fast and agile melee fighter.
If there is way to play melee character in the game. I would probably find way to play one. Best example would
be sorceress from Diablo 2. I build one to be used in melee combat, and damn it rocked.

Depends on what kind of game I play.
One thing is certain in all cases.
If the game carries secrets, I will find them all.

It really depends. It's not fun to only use one playstyle since that just gets boring.

If I had to pick, I guess I do tend to go slowly and methodically in a lot of games. That said, I favour aggression in strategy games. :P

I'm a suicidal ninja, meaning I try my best to be sneaky but it never ever works. I also have just about the worst accuracy ever, I typically end up spraying amd praying which never works :(. Suffice to say I'm just bad at online shooters, even though I've been playing for years.

I'm extremely conservative with resources in all games, never want to waste anything until I really 'need' it. This means that I run around with all sorts of useful potions/scrolls/objects for the entire game, and still haven't used them when the game ends.

My main strategy is trying not to die

^ This...and it depends on the game.

Stealth: I try to be as quiet as I can and pop the enemy in the head with a silent weapon.

FPS (Call of Duty, Half-Life etc): Conserve bullets and aim either at the chest or head.

Puzzle games (Portal and such): get through the damn thing asap---before my head goes boom!

Racing: Be #1 all the time.

Fighting: Beat the crud out of the oppenet and if I can pull off a Fatality if I can.

RPG: Just enjoy as much as I can.

Action: Just beat it the best that I can.

If it's a solo game, ranged, whether bow, pistol, sniper or magic. I don't usually "sneak" tho. I don't usually like melee characters, although there have been a few where I liked it.

If it's a game where you have a party, it'll be 1 or 2 tanks with everyone else ranged, and I charge the whole group forward like a madwoman, because, well, I have an army!

Whatever seems like fun at the time. I enjoy roleplaying with my character and will often restrict myself to a few rations, some water and whatever weapons/items he could realistically carry. Of course there are other times when I'll drop that completely and go on a rampage.

How I play a game is entirely the game it self I mean if you play a strategy game like Total War series / Civilization series or any games were the aspect of strategic planning is the general idea.

For most RPG I think the game it self decides how you play or you choose to play.

The first RPG game I played was Morrowind. Soon I found out that I could actually choose what playing type I wanted to be based of what mission or locations (interior / exterior) I was in, such as caves or ruins (ancestral tombs, dwemer strongholds, daedric, dunmer strongholds, velothi tower) and of course what enemies I was up against. Was it daedra I probably sneak, outlaws different approach (depending what level my character have) and so on. If my character having a level 30+ it depends of BIG rewards (money or nice loot) and the objective(s) of a mission.

Very true. Strategy games I take my time and will often take hours and hours setting up or tinkering with things on each level before I'll go for the "win." Even in RTS I'll try to do that, sometimes to my downfall. Nothing like being attacked while you're still trying to coax 10 farmers with hoes to build your grand vision.

Sneaky-backstabbing-ninja-[censored]

I don't care about getting an honorable kill, I don't care if my opponent has his pants down, I don't care if he's unarmed, the only thing that matters is that he died and I didn't.

seriously, I'm a total [censored] in games. Whenever someone asks for a 1vs1 knife fight in counter-strike, I agree to it and then I shoot the other person in the head.

I'm only answering for RPGs.

If tech is avaiable, shoot/throw and explode.
In FO:NV I mainly used the grenade launcher and grenades. Cleared out rooms even before I knew what was in there. And cleaned the rest up with a small shotgun.

In medieval/fantasy settings, stealth mage. Sneak up on people and paralyze/poison/kill them etc. Also enchanted arrows.

My preferred way to play (on RPGs) is with a weak character that only stays alive by staying hidden, the "You can't kill what you can't see" method. In Oblivion this means an assassin that uses bows at range, in Fallout a sniper with stealth equipment

Also applies to Crysis...ses? Stealth mode, sniper scope, silencer, vantage point.

Reminds me of an ancient 2d pure pvp asteroids-like game I used to play. People tended to try for the biggest win/loss ratios, I initially did but it was too easy and got boring. Your ship had a number next to it which determined how powered up your ship was and thus how many points someone got for killing you, and since players tended to care about the average kills they would purposely ignore people with weak ships to try and get higher average kills. So I would do one of two things on a regular basis. First is I'd suicide myself into the ships of those with perfect ratios so it would kill myself and them, ruining both their ratio and average and pissed them off. Second, if they fired at or missed dropping a mine on an opponent they were trying to kill I would purposely keep myself at minimum power-up and purposely run my ships energy down to zero then hit their fire or mines so they killed me and it ruined their average. That was fun for like 5 years until they finally banned suiciding. Before that I'd get spammed with nasty pm's and even on their forum people whined up a storm especially when I had a few friends group suicide in the same two ways. Epic as hell.

Surprise attacks in the fallout games.
I have a high sneak but i don't care for silencers.
Like this situation for instance, a squad of enemy soldiers hasn't seen me yet, i first throw in a hand grenade to surprise the [censored] out of them and finish the remaining SOB's with automatic weapons.
